Officers must be prepared both mentally and physically for any type of violent encounter, including the potential for administering trauma care. This course is a hands on scenario-based (Duty or Tac gear Required) course designed in two sections. The first section is designed to educate officers on sound mental and physical tactics to be used when dealing with sudden, unexpected, violent encounters. The second section is designed to train in operational lifesaving/tactical emergency casualty care. The course focuses on the importance of communication during high stress encounters, keeping focused in the present and maintaining a strong, mental winning attitude. *Cancellations must be received 14 calendar days before start of class to avoid charge. Comfortable training clothing, i.e. BDU’s, long sleeve T-shirts, duty/training gun belt. Shorts, tank tops and/or offensive T-shirts are unacceptable attire. Law enforcement personnel not in uniform that are carrying exposed firearms must prominently display agency ID and/or badge at all times while on college property. Who should attend: Law enforcement officers who may find themselves in ANY type of ambush situation.
