What is your Learning Task/Assignment for the week? (What are you going to do in the week)

Criteria Working on:

The Research Report: Critical Analysis

In this week I will be finished up my critical analysis for my research report and then I shall move onto the Primary Research.

How do you plan to achieve this? (SMART Targets)S (specific)I plan to quickly play three levels of Alice Madness Returns and Bioshock Infinite whilst I watched three videos on The Last of Us. When I am finished with this task I will take notes during the process before eventually setting all the notes in the question structure.

A (achievable)This task is very achievable and can be completed over a single day.

R (relevant)I plan to use these games for their differing genres and for their Hero’s Journey; This is relevant because of the fact they are all within the gaming genre.

I ran into an issue based primarily on updating and saving the work I had done.

I copy and pasted my work onto a notepad and waited for the site to get itself back in order.

he work produced on this day was sufficient due to the small scope I kept in mind when developing the research report, I managed to complete levels quickly and this lead to more time to research the other game.

This week I shall be finishing off my primary research and getting the responses recorded on my blog post.How do you plan to achieve this? (SMART Targets)

S (specific)I will be logging the responses to the Heroes Journey questions with at least 5 people, however I will be aiming for 10 responses. With these responses I will get them typed up onto the Unit 12 blogpost.

The actions I am taking are achievable because I am in contact with all of the people interviewed for the primary research

I cut down the questions and worked around those involved in my primary research.

A (achievable)This is achievable because I can work on the script any time during this week as well as all the programs I need are at home so I can work on these projects in my free time as well to maximise my productivity.

R (relevant)The work is relevant because I need to show my sources as to where I got my research from, as well as the script being relevant for the fact it is the main part of my project. The pitch is also relevant because it is the medium used to show my ideas to my peers to gain feedback.

I looked at the inspiration for my project again before continuing writing.

I will be performing my pitch and finishing off my first script draft for the project.

How do you plan to achieve this? (SMART Targets)S (specific)I will have someone film me as I perform the pitch, and I shall be using Microsoft word to work on my script for the Trevelyan conspiracy.

A (achievable)I believe this is a very achievable goal due to the simplicity of performing a pitch as well as the process of script writing.

R (relevant)This will be relevant to my project because making a PowerPoint pitch is mandatory as well as the script dictation how my project will go.

T (timely)I can get the pitch performed rather quickly as well as get the first draft of the script done in two days at most.

Problems/situations you encountered this week and how you resolved themProblem ResolutionThe few problems I encountered was who was going to film my FMP as well as writer’s block.

I asked a classmate to record my pitch and for the writer’s block I simply took a break and looked over my influences for this project again to gain ideas

A (achievable)I feel this is achievable due to the fact I have been watching videos on how to record foley and that I know what sfx should be needed and where I can get them.

I came into a few system issues due to the amount of words in the document. Eventually this led to word becoming unresponsive.
