Instructions for Logging On

You should receive an email from the Curriculum Mapping Tool (CMT) with your password.

Follow the link in the email (http://cmt.tewpl.net) and select the Sign in button in the top right. You should see this:

Select ‘I have a local account’ and then enter your email and the password you were sent.

To change your password to something more memorable click on your name in the top right and select ‘My Account’. Enter your new password in the relevant field and select Save

Viewing Intended Learning Outcomes 24/04/2013 08:20

You can View the Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) for Modules, PBL cases and the PEP initiative in the CMT.

There are several ways to do this, but the easiest is to use List View

Select List View at the top of the screen

On the left you will see a menu of ways the Curriculum may be viewed.

Select Component. This will bring up a list of all the modules and PEPs in each year.

Now select the module or PEP you are interested in and this will reveal the ILOs for that Module. To the right of the ILOs are all the PBL Cases delivered as part of that module. Listed under the title of each Module are all the ECSs associated with that Module (N.B. This mapping is yet to be completed)

Selecting any individual Module ILO will reveal further information in a pop-up including which PBL Case ILOs are used to deliver the Module ILO (This mapping is also incomplete)

Selecting any individual PBL Case reveals the ILOs for that case. Selecting an individual case ILO reveals the Module ILOs it supports (This mapping is incomplete although all PBL Case ILOs are present)

If you want to capture and print off a list of ILOs the easiest way is to highlight the list and right click the mouse and select ‘Copy’. You can then paste this into a Word document (A print feature will be added later)

The Map view shows how ILOs are related to each other in the curriculum

Select Map View at the top of the Screen. You will see the screen below:

Each Grey block represents a Module ILO. Hovering over the block will show the ILO. If you click on an ILO a pop up will appear. This will give details of the ILOs and its relationships.

Each of the purple blocks that appear on the map is an ILO that is related to the original ILO you selected. The relationship is based on the Tomorrows Doctors paragraphs. Each ILO is linked to one or more paragraphs in Tomorrows Doctors 09. The purple blocks are therefore ILOs which are linked to the same paragraphs as your original ILO. The greater the shading, the stronger the relationship. This demonstrates to students and tutors how an ILO they are currently covering is related to ILOs they have previously covered or are due to cover.
