*If you do not see ClockShark listed, then it has used less than 1% of the battery.

With our GPSFence technology, ClockShark can place a virtual fence around a jobsite and store that location in your phone in order to remind you to clock in/out when you cross the fence. These will work even if you are not on the clock because your phone is actually saving the location internally instead of us recording your location. We still only receive any GPS information once you are on the clock.

Android: Settings > Battery > Usage Details > ClockShark

iOS: Settings > Battery > Scroll to ClockShark

Definitely not! ClockShark only requests GPS location while you are on the clock. Whenever you are on an unpaid break or clocked out for the day, we are not receiving any GPS information.

They can see your last job and task, your most recent location and any locations that have been recorded throughout the day and synced to the website. The clock in/out/break times and the duration of shifts and breaks, and any notes or attachments added while on the clock will be viewable by your employer as well!

When you clock in for the day we will grab a GPS location and start the GPSTrak.

ClockShark should utilize very little data! For a full-time employee over a whole month, you can expect about 5MB-25MB to be used. That would be much less than 1% of a standard 2GB data plan however if your employee thinks it is eating their data, you can have them check! Each smartphone will tell them how much data any app is using, and can generally be found in the settings of the device!

We take the location directly from the GPS receiver in the device to deliver the most accurate information. However, pinpoint accuracy and availability can depend on many factors such as the quality of the phone, the natural working environment you are in, connection to cellular data and GPS signals, and the phone's ClockShark location settings.

To see the exact percentage of your battery that ClockShark is using, navigate to the battery settings on your phone.

The app is designed to only use about 5MB-25MB of data on average per month! That is for an employee using that app for 8 hour days/40 hours a week! Facebook uses on average ~ 100 MB of data per month!

ClockShark requests a location ping on the clock in, switch, clock out, and every 15-20 minutes with GPSTrak while on the clock.

Generally speaking, ClockShark will use about 15%-25% of a normal cell phone battery (with all GPS features enabled).

5MB - 25MB for an entire month.

Verification of work getting done, ensuring employees are at the right job site, being able to quickly see who is close to other job sites for planning, communication with clients, prevention of time theft and much more!

This depends on lots of factors including the type and age of the device, the health of the phone, and the available connection to reliable internet and GPS, among other things. ClockShark only requests GPS locations every 15-20 minutes in order to help conserve battery usage while still collecting useful information.
