The holidays are over, we have shoveled our way through a cold and snowy Janu-ary, and we are back to work, dedicated to providing the best hospitality possible.

Talk show host Craig Ferguson knows how to bring out patriotism in his au-dience. They know the story of his im-migration to the U.S.A. and his quest to become an American citizen. They also know that every night, when he is ready to get into the best part of his mono-logue, he declares: “It’s a great day in America, everybody!”

Monster Jam is back! For those with a need for speed, this monster truck- ipping,

adrenaline pumping event is more popular and exciting than ever. Sanctioned by the United States Hot Rod Association (USHRA),

Monster Jam is the world’s most-popular truck tour, performing for more than four million fans annually at the most prestigious are-

nas and stadia through-out the world. Monster Jam shows consist of three main fan-favorite elements—the pit party, racing and freestyle.

The pre-show pit party gives fans a chance to meet the stars of Monster Jam up close, while tak-ing pictures and getting autographs. Monster Jam Racing features monster

trucks racing side by side. The truck with the least amount of pen-alties to cross the nish line rst is declared the winner.

In Monster Jam Freestyle, drivers get a limited amount of time to show off their skills on the open oor, many attempting seem-ingly impossible feats of gravity ( ying a distance of up to 130 feet and up to 35 feet in the air) right before your eyes.

With seats starting at $20, Monster Jam is affordably priced for the whole family.

Monster Jam runs Friday, Feb. 12 through Sunday, Feb. 14 at the Allstate Arena, 6920 N. Mannheim Rd., Rosemont. Charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or online at ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices: $50, $30, $20.

Rosemont’s premier health club – Rosemont Health & Fitness Center – has just introduced its exciting new website – www.rosemont tness.com – where both members and guests will feel at home.

The front page alone is rich in easily accessible imagery, including moving images of the vast work-out and recreation facilities, the Corporate Team Build-ing Center, locker rooms and much more. Video links to the center’s new commercial and to a news report about the facility that aired on WGN-TV, recently, also are easily accessed on the front page.

Five live buttons at the top provide access to speci c categories (Home, Member Services, About us and Contact). Each category button offers content lists lled with detailed information about the center, its philosophy, the facility, membership and additional related businesses that are located in the facility.

The center’s address, phone number and hours also are listed right on the front page, with a link to a map.

“Our members are active, busy folks,” said Doug DuBrock, executive director of Rosemont Health & Fitness Center. “We picture them running out of their of ces or homes, when they suddenly remember that they need just one quick piece of information; they have it all right there in a beautifully formatted pre-sentation. We are very excited about the new website.”

The center’s name was changed last year from Rose-mont’s Willow Creek Club to the current Rosemont Health & Fitness Center, following a complete renova-tion of the 93,000 sq. ft. facility. The website supports the name change and the re–de ned brand.

“We are here to provide the best value possible to our members, in terms of equipment, facility features, activities, classes and programs, provided by an edu-cated and knowledgeable staff,” Mr. DuBrock ex-plained. “We are passionate about providing the best service and the largest array of tness and activity choices possible.

“While our center’s previous name certainly com-municated the beauty of the surroundings (we are literally located on the left bank of the Willow Creek in Rosemont) and the elegance of the facility, the new name needed to communicate much more.

“We want everyone to know that we are solely fo-cused on providing the best health and tness services at the most attractive and well-appointed facility pos-sible. Many clubs share that claim. But not everyone can back it up.

“What makes us different is that we not only provide premier service at the best facility, but we back it up

Rosemont Health & Fitness Center works new website into routine

A great t

by: 1). educating our members and potential members

about the value of simply moving and increasing physical activity; and,

2). letting them know that it is more than okay to have fun while they are getting t.

“No center is more serious than we are, in terms of supporting members in their quest for tness and main-tenance. But they will never achieve maintenance unless they discover and engage in activities that are fun and rewarding, too.

“That means that we serve every level of activity a per-son may require, from supporting the serious athlete who pursues a daily regimen that includes an excellent train-er and top-of-the-line equipment, to helping our weekend warriors who want to join a basketball team or get ready for the ski season.

“We are serious about helping our members get t; we are even more serious about having fun while getting t. It’s a great message that we enjoy communicating every day,” Mr. DuBrock concluded.

People say the rst impres-sion is the most important.

When guests arrive at the Donald E. Stephens Conven-tion and Conference Center for the rst time, they are always impressed by the sparkling, award-winning, elegantly-de-signed, drive-through main en-trance. Not only is it appointed with graceful fountains, dra-matic lighting and seasonal decoration, it is all enclosed, protecting guests from inclem-ent weather conditions. From business executives who have to make speeches to perform-ers, everyone feels like a VIP when entering the Stephens Center. Perhaps the most pam-

pered – and most appreciated of all -- is the bride.

Expert wedding planners are already advising brides that it is becoming dangerously dif- cult to book a reception venue for the coming season. The good news is that the Donald E. Stephens Conference Center and Ballrooms and the Rose-mont hotels still have some dates available. No one has more experience producing a rst-class wedding than the professionals in Rosemont.
