ImpactThe Political EconomyAnalysis ofTuberculosis in India is being used byUSAID toexaminehowpartnershipswiththeprivatesectorcanbeleveragedtomeetthegoalsofitsTBprogramsinIndiaandothercountries.RecommendationsfromthedocumentationoftheManagementofSevereandAcuteMalnutrition in Nutritional Rehabilitation Centres in Odisha were used by theGovernment of Odisha to consider the introduction of community basedmanagementofSAMcases.RecommendationsfromthedocumentationoftheNutritionMissionsinMaharashtraand Uttar Pradesh are being utilized by UNICEF and the state governments tostrengthentheStateNutritionMissions.Mappingofresearchers,institutionsandfundersintheurbanizationspacewasusedbytheMinistryofUrbanAffairstodirectitsattentiontolittleresourcedareas.

ImpactWorkundertheRuralWaterSupplyandSanitationprogramofCambodiahasledtoadoptionofanAmaltas-developedmonitoringsystemforprogresstracking.AnapplicationforfundinginHIVhasyieldedsubstantivefundingfromamultilateraldonororganizationtotheGovernmentofIndia.FindingsoftheformativeResearchonpersistingpoorchildhealthwereusedbyWorldVisionIndiatodesigntheadvocacydocumentforchildhealthintervention.ResearchanddocumentationoninclusionofthesexualminoritiesfortheWorldBankhas found attention from communities in other countries, as well as the NationalHumanRightsCommissionofIndia.Partnershipwith IDRChas ledtogreaterunderstandingof themeaningof ‘researchexcellence’ and is informing their systems to measure the quality of research fordevelopment,fundedbythem.
