We at the Amador High School Culinary Department would like to
sincerely express our gratitude and appreciation for your kind
donation/funding of all the new kitchen equipment to replace our
outdated and worn equipment. The addition of new commercial quality
equipment will help to continue out culinary program, greatly
improve our ability to introduce new and creative lessons into our
curriculum.

Dear Board Members:
I am requesting your permission to take my class on an overnight
field trip to San Francisco to spend the night as the crew aboard
the ship, the Ca Thayer. This living history overnight stay is put
on by the San Francisco Maritime National Park Association. This
fieldtrip incorporates our study of History and the study of
Science in a real world context.
We have participated in this program for the last nineteen
years. We will have eight adult chaperones who will also
participate in the experience with the twenty-three students. We
have in past years collected donations from the community to ensure
every student's participation.
This is a rewarding, memorable, once in a lifetime experience.
Students will be transported to the ship by the parents in their
vehicles. We plan to leave school the morning of i\fay 09. 2019 and
plan to return the afternoon of i\Iay 10, 2019.
