Once this operation is complete, the companies that correspond to your search request will be displayed on the List page. When you perform a search on the Expert Search page, you need to click on the List tab to view a list of companies. On the List page, click on the company name to research a specific company. Once you’ve selected a company, you will access the standard company report on the Company Report page. You can also sort, edit, or save a list as a file or as a peer group for future reference. On the Company Report page, from the left column select preformatted reports or select the report section to display data from that section. Use the buttons on the lower bar of the page to modify standard reports or to create custom reports. On the Peer Report, Peer Analyses, and Other Analyses pages you can access or edit standard reports or create custom reports to compare the performance of your subject company with the companies in a peer group (Peer report) or with the other companies which remain on the List page (Peer Analyses). Introduction AMADEUS is a comprehensive, pan-European database containing financial information on public and private companies.

Searching AMADEUS The database search includes several main steps:

Start with the companies search using Quick search or Expert search page to enter your criteria. Once this operation is complete, the companies that correspond to your search request will be displayed on the List page. When you perform a search on the Expert Search page, you need to click on the List tab to view a list of companies.

On the List page, click on the company name to research a specific company. Once you’ve selected a company, you will access the standard company report on the Company Report page. You can also sort, edit, or save a list as a file or as a peer group for future reference.

On the Company Report page, from the left column select preformatted reports or select the report section to display data from that section. Use the buttons on the lower bar of the page to modify standard reports or to create custom reports.

On the Peer Report, Peer Analyses, and Other Analyses pages you can access or edit standard reports or create custom reports to compare the performance of your subject company with the companies in a peer group (Peer report) or with the other companies which remain on the List page (Peer Analyses).

Send, print, or export results by clicking the icons in the top right icon bar.

List page Companies that satisfy your criteria are displayed as a list, as shown below. Along with the companies’ names, the list includes a number of variables corresponding to the displayed format. To change the sort order, click on the column heading. The results are sorted by the column in yellow. The icons to the left of the company’s name represent the quick links to preformatted company reports and additional information.

Click on the check box to mark records for deletion or downloading

By selecting the buttons at the bottom of the page, you can save or modify the list in the following ways:

Sort the list by selecting a variable that is not included in the displayed list format Customize format by selecting the variables to be included in the list Remove any number of companies from the list

Save a list as a company set for future reference Save a list as a peer group for future reference

Company Report page View and download the standard reports or create customized reports for an individual company. By clicking on the links in the left column, you can view the pre-formatted reports or the individual sections of the standard report. For example, by clicking on the Shareholders link, you will access the latest shareholders report on the subject company which includes the shareholders’ names and details on holdings.

Click in the check box to mark reports for later printing or downloading

Use these buttons to modify standard reports, create custom reports, or display the menu of graph options

Use the arrows to navigate from one company report to the next or enter the number of the company’s position on the List page

By selecting the buttons at the bottom of the page, you can expand the display options, modify the existing report format, or create a custom report in the following ways:

Retrieve an overview company report illustrated with five charts when available

Select a graph or a chart from the menu of available current and historical graphs, e.g. Evolution of a variable across time, Ownership, etc.

Modify a standard report or click the in the dialog box and create a user-defined report by combining several individual sections in one report

Select a standard report layout from the available options, e.g. Standard, Interim data etc or modify the existing layout, or create a new layout by specifying the dates (relative or fixed), currencies, peer information and more .

Apply a filter to a company’s subsidiaries, e.g. by subsidiaries’ location, assets, and others. To set up a filter, click the

in the dialog box. You can also save your filter for future use.

Display Quartiles or Deciles for an industry group

View the list of companies belonging to the subject company's Industry Peer Group. Available only if the c ompany's Industry Peer Group is composed of less than 500 companies

View the company’s unconsolidated statement when available

Peer Report page Compare the performance of your subject company against a pre-selected group of companies in the same industry. From the drop-down lists at the top, you can select a different financial sort criterion, date, report format, location, or the number of companies in the peer group.

Peer Analyses page Benchmark the performance of a subject company against the companies which remain on the List page or against a custom company set. Peer Analyses is limited to 500 companies.

For Peer Analyses, you can create a custom group of companies or use the saved group by doing the following: 1. Click on the Search tab. On the Search page, click on the Expert Search link. 2. On the Expert Search page, clear the previous search if needed by clicking the button. 3. Click the Peer Analyses tab.

4. In the dialog box click OK and on the next screen start searching for companies based on the keyword search in company name.

Other Analyses page On the Other Analyses page you can perform the following types of statistical analyses for the companies that remain on the List page: Segmentation, Aggregation, Distribution, Concentration, and Linear regression. You can select different variables such as dates and create reports in data or graph format.

Additional Feature Access additional data and reports by selecting the icons located next to the database tabs at the top of each page:

Find news items; search for news by keywords or select a topic or a company or country name Retrieve PDF version of companies’ filings Retrieve Datamonitor reports on companies, industries, and countries Retrieve company’s geographical analysis

Searching Tips: Search terms are not case-sensitive At any time during a search click the List tab to display the full list of companies matching your search criteria

Sample Searches Find the 25 largest pharmaceutical companies in Switzerland based on the company’s sales. Also find sales figures for the same group of companies for the past five years 1. On the Quick search page, enter Switzerland in the Location box; enter Pharmaceutical in the Industry box; select 25

from the drop-down list in the Top Range of Companies box; leave the default Sales box checked. Click Search. 2. Click the Peer Analyses tab. Click the Presentation button in the lower left corner of the page. 3. In the Available Presentations window, click Modify. 4. In the new dialog window, in Section, select P&L Account from the drop-down list; click the << to clear all the variables

from the right window and then select Sales and move the selection to the right window; click the check boxes next to the previous five years; give the presentation a name and make other formatting changes if needed. Click Save.

5. In the Available Presentations window, click OK. 6. View, save, or print the results. Find the ownership information of the Volvo Company 1. On the Quick search page, enter Volvo in the Company name box; enter Sweden in the Location box. Click Search. 2. Click on the AB Volvo on the List page. 3. In the left column, click on the Shareholder information link. View ownership report on the screen. 4. Click the Graphs button on the bottom left of the screen. 5. In the pop up menu, select Ownership. View ownership chart. 6. View, save, or print the results.

Print/Download

Click on the icons on the top right icon bar: to email results; to print results; to export results into Excel, Word, or text file.
