I currently teach English 9R, English 11R, American Film, and Pre-College English and am co-moderator of the Junior class. Each class that I teach is different, so we accomplish different things throughout the year. Currently, my English 9 class is organizing the trial of Victor Frankenstein, my English 11 classes are putting the final touches on their Macbeth presentations, my Pre-College English classes just finished studying both the play and film versions of Fences, and my American Film class is watching classic Christmas movies and discussing the “ingredients” of those film. I love absolutely everything about my job. I love working with the students at Trinity, whether in class, through student council, or when attending school events. Working at Trinity allows me the opportunity to watch my students succeed outside as well as inside of the classroom. The talents and abilities of these students continues to blow me away with every concert, play, game, performance, match, and event I witness. #onceatitanalwaysatitan I knew I wanted to be an English teacher since I was in middle school. Who at HT influenced you in a positive way?  In addition to my teachers in the English Department, my teachers in the Performing Arts Department, Mrs. Murphy, Mr. Jones, and Mr. Tramantana, influenced me in a positive way during my time at HT. Being involved in the Performing Arts Department is by far one of my highlights from my time at HT. I was able to learn so much about working cooperatively as a team by working on various shows as a member of the crew. The Performing Arts Department trips to London also helped foster my love of travel that led me to study in Florence, Italy and teach in a village outside of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Mrs. Gomez taught me the importance of color-coding and being organized, and I am still asking for her advice on a weekly basis. Mr. Motsinger taught me that even if you can’t draw a straight line, you can still be an artist. My students can attest to the fact that I am by no means an artist, but I don’t let that stop me. Each and every teacher I had at Holy Trinity influenced me in a positive way, and I am now seeing just how much of an impact they had on me now that I am standing in their shoes. What is your earliest memory of your “Titan Experience?”  My earliest memory of Holy Trinity was participating in the volleyball, basketball, and theatre camps during my summers when I was in middle school. I made so many friends through these camps, many of whom I remained friends with throughout my high school career at Trinity. I remember being nervous about starting freshman year at Trinity - I was the only person in the entire school from my elementary school. Having friends from camp and theatre auditions definitely eased my first day of school nerves. Have you stayed connected to your Titan classmates? How often do you return to campus? I have stayed connected with some of my Titan friends and classmates and have had the opportunity to reconnect at the liturgies and alumni events. While in college I would return to HT for the plays and liturgies, but now I’m back Monday-Friday. I have the opportunity now to work with my classmates and friends from HT in a new way, as teachers, coaches, and club moderators.

Absolutely. I could not imagine my life without Holy Trinity. I was able to be involved in so many different aspects of the school community that I don’t think would have been possible at any other school. During my four years at Holy Trinity I was part of cross country, track and field, the Performing Arts Department, stage crew, volunteer club, photography club, art club, campus ministry, Eucharistic Ministers, lectors, LIGHTs, ambassadors, the shadow program, National Honor Society, and the International Thespian Society. I had an amazing support system from my friends and teachers. Holy Trinity became a second family to me; my younger brother even followed in my footsteps and became a Titan.

Do you think life would have turned out differently if you had not attended Holy Trinity?
