We are excited to announce the 3rd year of the Landscape Architecture mentorship program at NDSU. Each year the program has improved and expanded, but we need your help to continue this growth. There are exciting things happening in the program this year: student trips, study abroad opportunities, and the hiring of a professor and program director. However, students also need to build relationships in the professional world, this is where you come in. The premise of the mentorship program is to pair a student with an alumnus, creating an information sharing network for discussion and learning. Please see the next page for more information. If you are willing to donate your time as a mentor, we will be asking for some information from you to make a suitable match. Once the match is made, the student will contact you and then the real fun begins. Enclosed you will find information regarding the goals and benefits of the program as well as what to expect from your mentee. Dear Landscape Architecture Alumni, I’m excited for this mentorship program. I think it will be very insightful to hear from somone who’s been apart of this program, and has experience in real world practice. - Jake Coryell, 4th year L.A. student My mentor understood my situation as both a student and a designer. To Get Involved, Follow These Three Steps:

1. Sign Up

Click the Sign-Up button below and fill in the short online form. In order to make pairs as soon as possible please sign up by november 17th.

If you have previously been paired with a mentee and would like to continue mentoring them, you do not need to sign-up this year. If you had a mentee and it did not work out we would like you to re-sign up so we can match you with another student this year!

2. ConTaCT

Pairs will be made between a student and alumni, and each will be notified by email. Both the mentor and student will be provided with the others contact information.

It is up to BOTH MENTOR AND MENTEE to make contact within two weeks. After two weeks of assigning mentors we will send a check-up email to verify contact has been made. If you have not heard from your mentee, please notify us at this time and we will assign you a new one.
