Future FIFA Stars

Fifty campers took part in the mid-June soccer

camp, the first of the 2014 CIU summer sports

camps that will also include camps for

basketball and cross country.

Equipping Christian Educators

The 2014 International Institute for Christian

School Educators (IICSE) will be hosted by

CIU's Lowrie Center on July 13-17. The annual

conference focuses on preparing administrators

and teachers for their unique roles within the

Christian school movement.

Alumni SpotlightBeach ('05) and Jessica ('02) Loveland are

passionate about building community and

helping those who are marginalized in society.

Jessica works at the Nurturing Center of

Columbia where she treats families dealing

with abuse and neglect. After a successful

Kickstarter campaign in 2012, Beach opened

Loveland Coffee where his focus is on artisan

coffee and daily ministry. They have three

children, Zoe, Shiloh and Ezra. Pray for

balance in work, direction for Loveland Coffee

and for ministry impact.

What Does "Go" Mean inthe Great Commission?This question was recently discussed

by CIU's Intercultural Studies faculty on

their blog. Contributing authors are

experienced professors/ministers who

are dedicated to God's mission.

reminded us of the biblical truth found in

Proverbs 3:5-6. Speaking from his own life

experience, he said we are to realize that

God is good."
