• Pakasa is an initiative that fosters and promotes entrepreneurship
among young people
• 8 Chapter representatives were present at this year’s entrepreneurship
forum
• YALI got mentions on live TV at the forum, which was good mileage for
the program
• Joram Ndagga spoke at this forum

• Alumna Anita Namuyaba invited the RLC participants to this hangout
• The hangout was organized by Global Health Corps (GHC)
• It brought together youth from different fellowship programs
• The aim was to network and learn from participants of the different
fellowship programs
• Penelope Katanagi shared her experience and spoke on behalf of the
RLC alumni

The #SaveCarol #FightCancer CampaignHome visit- April 14th 2016 Car wash -
• Joy Birungi, Sylvia Kakyo, Penelope Katanagi,
and Isabella Acomai visited Carol Atuhirwe
• Members made financial donations towards
Carol’s cancer treatment which was handed over
to her family by alumna Sylvia Kakyo
• Alumni volunteered to wash cars at the
public car wash fundraiser for Carol’s
treatment which was held at Panamera

• Mr. Byarugaba shared how he rose from a clerk to CEO
of Standard Chartered Bank and later MD NSSF
• He taught the youth the 90 day’s Challenge (to keep
track of your spending habits daily)
• He broke down the 4 basic steps to senior
management; Clerk (beginner), Supervisor, Manager,
and Executive

Fort Portal Day 1The Royal Meeting
Did you know?King Oyo earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest
reigning monarch after his accession to his father’s throne at the age of three and
a half years
Agnes Kemigisa played a key role in coordinating every activity for
the Fort Portal event. She was the champion, the hands and legs on
ground. She was critical in making the Fort Portal event a success.
