What Comes Next?
• Faculty Student Association (FSA) will administer the parking
program • Downstate will assign eligible parkers to one of the
seven (7) parking
locations based on a parking preferences questionnaire. •
Parking preferences questionnaire will be sent to those who
currently
have parking privileges or previously had parking privileges on
the date of the closure of the State garage.
• Those completing the questionnaire will be assigned to a
specific parking location based on their preferences, availability
and how long they have been parking at Downstate facilities.

Parking Reassignment Process
• Based on: • Employees who get parking with their positions•
Employees with an ADA parking accommodation • Employees who work
the evening shift/overnight • Employees who live at 440 Lenox
Road
• Parking Seniority Date – when your monthly parking privileges
began at a Downstate parking facility
• Ranking of Parking Locations

Parking Preferences Questionnaire
• Only for those with monthly parking privileges at a Downstate
facility either currently or at the time of the closure of the
State garage
• E-mail from the Parking Office with a personalized link•
Ability to dispute the parking seniority date – by e-mail or by
visiting
the Parking Office; documentation is helpful • Confirmation
e-mail after questionnaire submission• Deadline for questionnaire
completion: Monday, December 2, 2019

Lot Reassignment
• Parking Reassignments will be sent via e-mail – December 2019•
Once reassignment is sent, monthly parkers will be directed to
establish a parking portal account – by December 31, 2019 •
Obtain parking decal/access card from University Police – by
December 31, 2019• Begin parking in newly assigned lot – January
1, 2020
