President's Page At the Annual Meeting in May, we honored Stanley Richmond '54 for his many years of service to the Association, as both a Board member and Treasurer. We also honored Malen Hsu '69 who allegedly “retired” as our Director without Portfolio. Malen spent many years recording donations and sending acknowledgements, keeping track of Board members and their contact information, and whatever else keeps the Association running. Her retirement benediction was, “Feel free to call on me anytime.” I give special thanks to Bob Maddocks ’60, the keeper of the data base of all the alumni and those who have passed on. New Board members elected in May are Thelma Beal ’67 and Chelsea Sawyer ’07. Reelected to the Board are: Joyce Johnston ’48; Holly Archer ’05; David Burks ’75; Sally Jordan ’65; and Janet Stanley ’64. Besides maintaining the endowment fund and expanding “Bowling for Scholars”, your Association's other priorities are: • Update the data base to have current contact information, especially email addresses, of all alumni; • Appoint alumni from each class who are willing to serve as class agents to keep us informed of current contact info and, sadly, deaths; • Maintain an on-going liaison with the High School, and develop strategies to encourage young alumni to become continuing members of the Association and hold reunions; • Recruit energetic alumni to serve on the Board to ensure the Association's viability for many years to come; and • Maintain the Association’s web and Facebook pages Support your Alumni Association in reaching its goal of $1,000,000 - we are over halfway there! - Michael E. Investment Committee Update ! We've been spoiled. As of this writing, the stock market has gone over 1000 days without a 10% correction. The EHSAA scholarship fund has grown to nearly $600K and is providing $15,000 in scholarship funds to alumni this year! The Investment Committee does not expect the stock market to continue its breakneck growth of the past three years.!! Ships are designed to stay the course and when (not if) the investment markets become less stable, we

will continue to employ what we believe is a sustainable strategy to provide increasing funds available for scholarships year after year.!! As college costs continue to rise, your generosity is essential! Consider a tax deductible donation to the EHSAA scholarship fund so we can provide opportunities to students for untold generations.!! Respectfully submitted,!! Jerry Troger
