PLIX MAP Barrier Food Trays have been designed for meat packer wanting to extend the life of fresh chilled

product for distribution to supermarkets and other retail outlets from a central packing facility.

PLIX MAP Barrier Food Trays have been developed to suit the common tooling sizes utilised by most

packers of MAP trays. The trays are available in various footprint sizes and depths to meet almost every pack size a supermarket could

wish for. Also should the current range of sizes not meet your tray requirements, Alto has in-house product development facilities capable of producing a tray to

your exact requirements.

PLIX MAP Barrier Food Trays are made from rigid food grade plastic, with an

oxygen barrier lamination. This ensures the modified atmosphere within the

pack is maintained during storage, transport and display, thereby

extending the life of fresh chilled product. Use of PLIX MAP Barrier

Food Trays with an appropriate preservative gas mix, suitable barrier

lidding film, and a well-maintained cool chain; will result in an extended

product life of 12 to 14 days.

Alto have two ways to get you case-ready. The PLIX MAP

Barrier Food Trays deliver an individually packaged case-ready

product. However if you are looking for a Total Modified

Atmosphere Packing solution, you may wish to choose

a case ready Master Pack option, which entails consumer

portioned products, in PLIX Meat Trays either stretch wrapped or flow wrapped according to your

requirements, and contained within a gas-flushed master pack.

industry. CPET Trays can not only withstand the heat of any

PLIX PP Plate is microwaveable only with a clear lid for exceptional

presentation. The clear lid needs to be removed prior to

traditional foam tray range and meet the high exudate requirements

of meat and poultry processors. The open cell technology

reduces total system costs and improves product presentation

by eliminating the need for a separate absorbent pad.
