Firstly you will need to have a civil ceremony by law in Turkey, this will be carried out under the instruction of the local Registrar and it will take around 20 to 30 minutes to make your wedding commitments to each other. As this will be con-ducted in Turkish, British nationals and other nationalities are required to hire an officially registered legal translator for your event. This can be arranged by our Altinkum Wedding Planning Team at request. Turkey is a secular country; it per-forms civil wedding ceremonies with international wedding certificates. In doing so there are many procedures that have to be carried out before you get married. These include the list of documentation required before your wedding which is listed below, the marriage petition, blood tests and health reports and all the nec-essary signatures and paperwork required before the ceremony. This all needs to be done in Altinkum Didim Turkey

You will need two witnesses at your civil ceremony. Your witnesses should not be members of your family. Blessings are not legally binding in any way in Turkey, but if this is something that you are wishing for it can be arranged. A blessing can only be conducted after a civil ceremony has taken. Some couples have chosen to get legally married in their native countries and arrange a beautiful blessing in Turkey after or even years later.

A valid Passport – With six months expiry

A valid tourist visa to enter Turkey. This will be obtained on your entry into Turkey; you will be require to pay a £10 visa on entry to the coun-try and will receive a stamp on your passport.

Passport photos of both the bride and groom (5 copies of each)

If divorced, a Decree of Absolute.

If widowed the spouses death certificate and previous marriage certificate.

Written consent from your parents or guardi-ans (if under 18 years of age).

If you have changed your name or you were adopted, proof of this needs to be presented.

Certificate of No Impediment. Both marrying parties must obtain a certificate of ‘No Impediment’ from their local Register Office in their native country. This can take up to 21 days and usually costs around £30, during which time bands will be published in the registered office. After arriving in Turkey you will need to take your documents to be presented to the British Consulate in Izmir. This can be arranged for you with your travel arrangements at your request. Please note that the relevant fees will be charged for any translations

WE WILL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE FOR ALL YOUR PAPER WORK IN IZMIR AND DIDIM, THIS MUST BE DONE BEFORE YOU CAN MARRY LEGALLY IN TURKEY AND ALL FEES WILL NEED TO BE PAID BY YOURSELVIES TO THE RELIVENT AUTORITIES.

work. The costs of organizing a wedding in Altinkum, Didim or Akbuk can vary greatly

depending on your wishes and travel itinerary. The costs for the classic marriage cere-

mony package is listed below to give you some idea of costs, but we also assist to tailor

-make weddings, all you need to do is let us know what that dream wedding is.

The Legal Consultation fee covers: The bureaucratic process from the applications to the marriage certificates, translation services, legalization services, applications to the municipality, marriage officer fee, health reports and in-city transportation (Didim is the local municipality residing over Altinkum, Akbuk and surrounding areas). The Legal Consultation rate is 1200 USD (estimation is around £700 dependent on the exchange rate) but we will let you know the exact price soon as we are in registry of-fice in Didim.

Altinkum is a small popular resort situated on the Aegean

coast. The name of the resort translates to golden sand

and this resort certainly lives up to its name with three

long smooth golden beaches, the sea is shallow for quite

a long way out which is ideal for families with children

who like to have a cooling time in the sea whilst their

parents soak up the sun. Altinkum caters for simply eve-

ryone as during the day its a quiet relaxing resort and by

night is livened up by the numerous bars scattered

around the resort.

For tourists looking for a quiet holiday there are family

aimed bars with fun atmospheres and light music, for

tourists looking for a lively night out there are bars with a

more fast pace aswell as nightclubs including an open air

nightclub with very lively music and shows. As for restau-

rants not to worry for the fussy eaters as every restau-

rant offers a full english menu with light snacks or roast

dinners.

For the more adventurous tourists all restaurants offer

traditional Turkish cuisine which you must not pass up as

it is very tasty indeed. In the centre of Altinkum you wil

find a shopping centre with cash machines available just

outside which you will find is a great convenience to all.

Altinkum kum has a delightful marina full to the brim of

boats waiting to take you away for the day on a trip

around the beautiful bays and various islands and

beaches surrounding Altinkum.
