Alternatives for GemstonesIt is not always possible to get a good gemstone that does not have a doshain it. We should wear gemstones that are free of 

inclusions and flaws. Brihat Samhita talks about how these flaws look like. The author says that a gemstone with blemishes that

looks like crow feet, an insect or an inclusion with a different material should be avoided. While a good gemstone helps in

strengthening the planet it represents in a kundali, wearing a flawed gemstone should be avoided at all cost. It can cause many

hardships.

Emerald (Panna is the only gemstone where few blemishes are allowed. !

flawless emerald may be costlier than a diamond.

 !ll flawless gemstones, for that matter are very costly and may not be affordable

by everyone. "ortunately, all of us do not need to depend on gemstones for 

strengthening the planets in the horoscope. The three main ways of 

strengthening any planet in a kundali. In the order of priority, they are#

&. 'antra ( म त   र  # worshipping the ruling eity

). *emstone ( रन 

The first two are the sattvic ways of strengthening a planet in a kundali. *ems

have ornamental value and are associated with for adornment and style.

Therefore it is a ra+asik way of curing a problem. If someone can, conduct and mantra are always preferred way. In any case, a

gemstone should not be worn if the corresponding planet is a lord of dusthanas in the horoscope, especially if it is a lord of th, -th

and $&th house. ince it is important to look at the horoscope very closely before wearing a gemstone, please do not do astrological

e/uivalent of self medication when it comes to wearing gems for astrological reasons. 0et always an astrologer prescribe these to
