Ideally, I still want to secure a Summer Internship with a firm of Management Consultants…..
If I can’t do that, I want to do a Summer Internship that will put me in a good position to secure a full-time Management Consulting offer in the Autumn…
But, I’m really concerned that if I didn’t get a Summer Internship with a Consulting Firm, I won’t get a Full-Time Offer either…..
And I’m aware the job market is difficult, and I’m not sure how I should alter my strategy to take this into account
Anything else?

+Sourcing a summer internship
Jobs/projects including consultancy positions will be posted on Career Central - check daily
n Also use CC to search for archived internship postings – think about contacting some of these companies speculatively before they post?
Personal Networking (alumni in target companies, fellow MBAs including MBA 2011, EMBAs/Sloans/MiFs, at school events, friends & family)
Search targeted jobs websites, e.g., top-consultant.com
Headhunters & Recruitment Agencies: probably won’t provide a ‘packaged’ internship, but may be able to provide you with interim project or consulting work
Use networking sites to search for open jobs, companies to target & contacts (e.g., www.linkedin.com)
Attend any Career Services job events – details will be on Career Central
Summer Recruitment Evening Thursday 5 May
Check press adverts – these can indicate which companies are still hiring & provide leads to make speculative applications
