This is where he got scars on face from breaking up a fight. Slide 4 Chicago Fellow Five Points Member and Capones mentor, Johnny Torrio moved to Chicago and got Capone a Job as a bodyguard for Boss James "Big Jim" Colosimo. Torrio took over Chicago after Colosimo was murdered. Frankie Yale and Al Capone were suspects for the slaying Big Jim and two others. Bribed members of the jury, but at the last minute the jury members were swapped with another court room. Found Guilty of Tax Evasion. Other Charges are dropped because the investigators do not have enough evidence to convict. Lincoln Heights Jail Alcatraz Aug. 11, 1934 Terminal Island Prison Slide 9 End of a Legacy Power diminished when prohibition ended in December of 1933. Paroled November 16, 1939. Physical & mental health begin to fail in prison due to neurosyphilis. Jan 21 st suffers a stroke and recovers. Jan 24 th get pneumonia Dies January 25 th 1947 at the Age of 48yrs.
