Almost, Maine The 19 characters in “Almost, Maine” will be played by just four actors: two men and two women, all in their teens to early 20s. Every scene only involves two actors. Actors do not have to fit any specific type in order to audition! Auditions: Friday, March 18, 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, March 19, noon-3 p.m. Callbacks TBD. Auditions will be held at the Town Hall Theatre, located on the second floor of the Akeley Soldiers Memorial Building, 67 Main St. in Stowe. Pre-registration is suggested; contact the director at [email protected] to reserve a spot. At your audition, expect to do some cold readings of various scenes and characters. If you’d like to prepare a monologue as well (optional), selections can be viewed below. Check out the character descriptions; roles will be split as follows: Male 1 will play: Pete, Steve, Lendall, Randy, Man. Male 2 will play: East, Jimmy, Chad, Phil, Dave. Female 1 will play: Ginnette, Glory, Waitress, Gayle, Hope. Female 2 will play: Sandrine, Marvalyn, Marci, Rhonda. You can indicate preference for a role, or leave it open.
