As characteristic in a 4-stroke engine, C4 technology engines provide a better power curve for most cutting applications. C4 generates higher torque and a wider power band. Of course, since the C4 engine runs on the 4-stroke principle, its exhaust gas emission level is quite low with better fuel consumption than conventional 2-stroke engines!

As characteristic in a 2-stroke engine, C4 technology engines are fueled by conventional 50:1 petrol/oil mixture. It is not necessary to check the oil level. Thanks to its lubrication system, a C4 technology engine can be operated in any position, including upside down!
