Production advice ware potatoes TRADITIONAL FRESH

ALLISON has a long dormancy.Cutting increases the risk of infections. Disinfect the knife and use chalk powder. Ensure fast dryingfor rapid curing. In colder climates wait 3-4 weeks before planting. ALLISON can be grown on all soil types. Can be planted with small white buds but good pre-sprouting can advance the crop.Follow the advised plant populations, as ALLISON gives high tuber numbers per plant.Wider planting is advised to get bigger size tubers.Do not plant in cold soils as this will increase the risk of Rhizoctonia infection.

Emergence is uniform with a good foliage development. In spite of the late maturity, ALLISON has an early tuberisation.ALLISON is quite sensitive to metribuzin, only use it pre-emergence.ALLISON has a good drought tolerance.Use a robust Phytophthora programme, to prevent foliage blight.ALLISON is fairly resistant to spraing.

Prevent regrowth because of virus sensitivity.ALLISON is quite resistant against bruising, unless extreme conditions occur.
