“Kids and the Arts” was founded as a response to the growing need for performing arts education in the Conejo Valley. Since its 2001

inaugural season, “Kids and the Arts” has grown to include vital, groundbreaking educational programs as well as a fruitful partnership with

the resident companies of the Civic Arts Plaza.

Many of the students we reach have never had the opportunity to

attend a live theater performance.

We work directly with schools to determine how a field trip to the Civic Arts Plaza can fill a void in their curriculum by providing a live theatre experience which teaches principles of core subjects through the arts.
