In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most

    Merciful

We have already sent down to you verses making things

clear, an illustration from (the story of) people who passed

away before you, and an admonition for those who fear

    Allah."(34)

Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth. The parable

of His light is as if there were a Niche and within it a lamp:

The lamp enclosed in Glass: The glass as it were A brilliant

Star; lit from a blessed tree an olive, neither of the East Nor

of the West. Whose oil is well high luminous, though firescarce touched it: Light upon light! Allah doth guide whom

He will to His light: Allah doth set forth parables for men:

and Allah doth know all things." (35) [Al- Nur or the Light].

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

IntroductionPraise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds and His peace and blessings be

upon the most honourable Messenger, Muhammad, Allah's peace and

blessings be upon him, upon his family and upon his companions. Allahthe Almighty says in His Glorious Book: Invite (all) to the way of thy

Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways

that are the best. [Annahl or the Bee 125].

Allah, mighty and Exalted be He is the Being Whom the reason has

acknowledged and Whose existence has been supported by knowledgeand science. He who contemplates the Heavens and the earth shallbecome conscious of the creators' omnipotence and of the subtlety of His

creation. In fact all creatures bear witness to the existence of the creator.

Allah the Almighty says: "So blessed be Allah the best tocreate."[Almuminun or the Believers 14].

Only those who have derided their minds and denied the in-born

inclination are an exception. When they find in the scientific and

philosophical ideologies any reason or pretext for denying Allah'sexistence; they should know that Allah is not in need of their worship or

even of them, but they will constantly remain badly in need of Hispleasure and grace, praised and glorified be He. Without Allah's mercy

and grace they would not have existed nor would have the world. Allah

the Almighty says: 0 ye men! It is ye that have need of Allah; but Allah

is the One free from all wants worthy of all praise.[Fatir or the

Originator of Creation 15]. When the belief in Allah settles in our hearts

and illuminates our breasts it will become the ultimate goal of our lifeand the interim point (Isthmus) that separates between the living and the

    dead.

Allah the Almighty said: By (the token of) time (through the ages), verily

man is in loss, except such as have faith and do righteous deeds, and (join

together) in the mutual teaching of truth and of patience and constancy.

[Al- Asr or the Time Through the Ages]. What I am talking about is quitea tangible matter to those who are conscious of the truthful faith in Allah

the Almighty, but this cannot be attained by those who have got blind

hearts, heedless of Allah. In fact there are people who altered the eternal

truth of Divinity such as those who said: Allah has appeared in the

    body! (1)

In this treatise I have endeavored, for the sake of Allah, to put the

matter in its proper course and to remind those who have gone astray.

"But remind for reminding benefits the believers [Holy Quran].Throughout this treatise, I have studied and analyzed the basic principles

upon which those who said: "Allah has appeared in the body", had relied.

I have also refuted the other trends that affect or are affected by the

previous conception. It is a pure analytic study, based on science and

logic, supported by truth and history, mainly concerned with doctrinal

    issues.

    (1) This statement appeared in the book entitled, " Has Allah appeared in the body?" Here is the text of the statement: " This is the judgment and decision of history. But as regard to Jesus Christ, a perfect man does not mean the essence of

the universe and the mirror of the Divine essence; the link between Allah and His creation only, rather he is the perfect manbecause he is the perfect God at the same time because the plenitude of divinity inhabit in him bodily (Collossy2-9) andbecause he is not a link but a veritable union; he is not the mirror of the divine essence that shines brightly by human life, rather he is the grace of his glory and the imprint of his essence and the bearer of all things by the word of his power"

(Hebrews 1-3 ). He was the word with Allah and the word was Allah. Every thing was done by the word and nothing hadbeen done without it (John 1: 1-3). In this case he is worthy of assuming power, wealth, wisdom, the good example, thedignity, the glory and blessings.

I am quite convinced that these words and statements alone shall not

guide people because guidance comes from Allah the Almighty. " It istrue thou wilt not be able to guide every one whom thou lovest; but Allah

guides those whom He will". [Al- Qasas or the Narration 56]. For whom

Allah the Almighty sought guidance, He bestowed upon equity and faith. Finally, I am very grateful to all those who have contributed to this

great work and to those who will assist in its publication. My best regards

to those who persist in distinguishing the truth from falsehood. I earnestly

appeal to Allah the Almighty to make their reward the best. " And say

work (righteousness) soon will Allah observe your work and His

Messenger, and the believers". [Altawba or Repentance - 105]

    1-Absolute perfection

Human soul never attains perfection whatever transcendence it mighthave reached, because perfection means eternity and durability. A perfect

being will not wear out or perish by the passage of time nor will he be

changed by occurrences. A perfect being is not also subject toimperfection or mortality, Allah Almighty said: " Every thing (that exists)

will perish except His own face. To Him belongs the command and to

Him will ye (all) be brought back". [Al-Qasas or Narration-88].

A perfect being is not subject to evolution phases; He is far away from

    want and need. He is All omniscient, A11 omnipotent and self-subsistent;

such qualities have never been ascribed to any human being since thebeginning of creation because the traits of perfection have been solely

attributed to Allah the Almighty and not to any human being. The Divine Being had not been preceded by nothingness nor had He

been succeeded by nothingness. Whereas the human being is preceded by

nothingness and succeeded by nothingness. (1) Allah alone possesses the

attributes of perfection and there is absolutely none comparable to Him.Allah the Almighty said: " Allah! There is no god but He-the living, the

self-subsisting, eternal, no slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all

things in the Heavens and on earth." [Al- Baqara or the Heifer 255]. He is

Allah the Almighty, the first whom nothing precedes and the last whomnothing succeeds, the everlasting living, the eternal One, the preserver of

safety, the disposer of affairs, the inheritor of the Heavens and the earth,

the all-omnipotent, the exalted in might.

    (A) Allah the Almighty said: Do not the unbelievers see that the

Heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation)before We clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing.

Will they not then believe? (Al Anbiya or the Prophets 30). Whatever the

origin of the universe had been, whether by the great explosion or inaccordance with any other conception nevertheless the matter had not

been solely formed at the outset of the formation but time and place hadbeen formed too! Steven Hawking said: The greatest misunderstanding

of the explosion is to say that it had commenced as a mass of matter

somewhere in the outer space. Matter had not been the only thing formedduring the great explosion; the time and place had been formed too. Thus

the universe had been formed out of nothingness i.e. of nothing. The

acquired knowledge is unable to find a convincing explanation for that

    6

but Allah the Almighty informed us of that. Moreover the conceptions that

explained the origin of universe (including the great explosion) abrogatethe material philosophical argument about the universe, adopted by the

Greeks who believed that the universe is eternal.

And since the notion of creation without creator is inconsistent, because creation needs creator so the existence of anything out of

nothingness is quite impossible, unreasonable and illogical, you cant

obtain anything out of nothing because the creator should precede creation

this obviously is in contrast to chance creation, so the creator is eternal.

The American astronomer and physicist, Huge Ross says about the eternal

creator: Time is the dimension in which the phenomena of cause andeffect occur and without time there exist no cause and no effect. If the

beginning of time had coincided with that of the universe as stipulated bythe theory (Space and Time) then the cause of universe becomes an entity

that had acted in an entirely independent time dimension that precedes the

time dimension of the universeThis informs us that the creator is

all-omnipotent and beyond mans knowledge and experience, He actsoutsides the limits and scope of the universe. Furthermore we are informed

that Allah is not the universe itself nor is He contained within the universe

    (1).

    (B) Allah Almighty said: With the power and skill did We construct thefirmament; for it is We who create the vastness of space . [AL-Dhariyate

or the Wind that scatter 47].

The emergence of the universe from nothingness, and the great

explosion from which the heavens, the earth, space and time were formed

should be accompanied by a latent power that makes the universe expandand extend, whether by the negative gravity or by any other power; this

scientific fact has been proved in 1929. The Holly Quran referred to it

more than 1300 years ago; this matter has been ascertained by theMicroscope (Habel) that discovered the red deviation in the spectre of

stars light. (2) This proved that the stars, in their movement, are gettingfarther from (The sun and the earth) or from one another, and the process

of universal explosion and that of the universal expansion that followed is

accompanied by attraction processes that include the heavenly bodies inaccordance with strict interlaced processes for connection. Paul Defz,

Professor of theoretical physics says: The power of the universe

explosion was accompanied by strict unimaginable gravity power.

The explosion was an old vague stroke but the amounts ofits explosion were very carefully and skillfully in orderthere are quite

clear evidences indicating that there had been a design for the universe.

The scientist, Roger Benro says: The figures that determine the subtledesign and execution of the universe equilibrium play a decisive role in its

existence. They are so strange that they are beyond comprehension and

understanding. These figures also prove that the universe could never be a

result of time and place accident. Furthermore these figures show how

subtle is the goal of creation and how flawless should the universe be in

order to emerge and remain eternal in this existence. Allah the Almightysaid: Blessed is He who sent down the criterion to His servant, that it

may be an admonition to all creatures, He to whom belongs the dominionof the Heavens and the earth; no son has He begotten, nor has He a partner

in His dominion; it is He who created all things, and ordered them in due

proportions. [AL-Furqan or the Criterion 1-2]. In his book (The Cosmic

Blueprint) and under the heading (The finger print of the comprehensivedesign) Defz clarified: Undoubtedly the universe design is an evidence of

Allahs omnipotence of creation; this result has been discovered by the

modern science which is but a renewal of a truth that had been revealed in

the Glorious Quran fourteen centuries ago. Allah the Almighty said:Your guardian Lord is Allah, who created the Heavens and the earth in

six days, then He established Himself on the Thrown (of authority) .He

draweth the night as a veil over the day, each seeking the other in rapid

succession; He created the sun, the moon, and the stars (All) governed by

laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed beAllah, the cherisher and sustainer of the Worlds? Al Araf or The Heights

    54.

    (C) Allah the Almighty also said: The day that We rolled up the Heavenslike a scroll rolled up for books (completed) even as We produced the first

creation, so shall We produce a new one; a promise We have undertaken:Truly shall We fulfill it. Al Anbiya or the prophets 104.

Everything that had a beginning should have an end; this is confirmed by

reason and logic. And since the beginning of the universe was caused bythe explosion; scholars say that the end of the universe will be that of

    (1) The creation of the universe by Haron Yahya , Calculations reveal that the chance probability in the universe equals[(1 x 10)10]123 , This probability is unimaginable and even the word impossible is not enough to explain .

shrinking (1) and rolling up as we have already been scientifically

assured that the universe is constantly expanding and that the stars, in theirmovements remain in a state of equilibrium as a result of the various

attraction processes, but the using up of energy or the change of negative

attraction force will eventually lead the stars towards stability . Allah theAlmighty said : And the sun runs its course for a period determined for it

; that is the decree of ( Him ) the exalted in might ,the All-knowing . Ya

Sin 38 . The sun is the nearest star to earth, and after the process of

stability , in addition to other changes in the universe order, disequilibria

will occur and the case of shrinking and rolling up will commence ( as

expected by Einstein ) . The universe will return to its previous state ; thisis the true promise of Allah . Allah the Almighty said : One day the earth

will be changed to a different earth , and so will the heavens and men willbe marshaled forth , before Allah , the One ,the irresistible . Ibrahim or

Abraham 48 . Then Allah will have subdued the Heavens and the earth

and His creation will emerge in another Heaven and earth .

The previous argument has made it clear that the Heavens and earthand all that between them do not frustrate Allah and that Allah the

Almighty alone has got the absolute perfection . Blessed be Allah full of

majesty , bounty and honour .

But those who have another definition or view concerning perfectionare the ones who had despised and neglected their minds and had

committed a falsehood contradicting reason and logic; they attributed to

Jesus , peace be upon him, what he had not said even they claimed such

thing for a self purpose, Allah the Almighty will call them to account.

Allah, exalted and glorified be He said: And behold! Allah will say:"0 Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my

mother as gods in derogation of Allah? He will say:

"(Glory to Thee! Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I saidsuch a thing? Thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is

in my heart, though I know not what is in thine. For Thou knowest in fullall that is hidden).

"Never said to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to

wit, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord; and I was a witness over themwhilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up. Thou was the

watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things. [AL-Maeda, or

Ill Saint Barnabas' Gospel (which is totally rejected by the Christians, although they know that Saint Barnabas was an intimate disciple of Jesus

    (PBUH ), Chapter ( 53: 33- 34- 35 ), Jesus (PBUH ) said: " No one will

remain alive except God alone, hallowed and glorified be He." When

Jesus (PBUH) uttered this , he slapped his face with both hands and hit

the ground with his head , when he raised his head he said : "Cursed be he

who puts in my sayings that I am the son of God ." (1)In order to understand these issues and discern the truth ; we need to

point out that Adam (PBUH ), who was sixty arms tall (2), had beencreated by God without father or mother, while Jesus (PBUH) had been

created without father only , this simply means that the first creation was

more difficult than the second , so why should Jesus (PBUH) be a God

    while Adam(PBUH) should not!

Therefore the belief in Jesus' (PBUH) divinity is illogical and irrational,

Allah Almighty said: " The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that ofAdam, He created him from dust, then said to him" be and was" [Al-

Imran or the Family of lmran-59].

Any allegations, ascribing divinity to Jesus (PBUH) are groundless.Unfortunately all the available gospels have untrue texts ascribing

Divinity and perfection to Jesus (PBUH), and what is founded on untruth

is untrue in itself. Eventually all such texts of the Gospels are untrue and

    aim to spoil the creed.

Professor (Funk), the founder of Jesus Seminar (1) wrote "We cannot

rely, in our faith either on the creed of Peter or on that of Paul, I willnever accept religion not emanating from its original source, nor will I

accept the forms of doctrine within the confines of early believers only,The authentic creed and true faith must emanate from Jesus of Nazareth.

Jesus (PBUH) himself should not be worshipped; it is but the paganism

    of the early believers!

The true goal of the religion should be the faith that Jesus (PBUH)himself has preached. The call to believe in Jesus (PBUH) personally is

but substituting the intermediary for truth and the messenger for God.

Why should we adhere to Constantine resolutions? And the outcome of

the vote that took place in Niqia .

    Why should we abide by the decisions made by church- assemblies ;

taking these decisions as definitive and final? We have to refrain fromimitating the theological dogmas that had been formed during the second ,

third and fourth centuries . We must let Jesus (PBUH) appear as he really is

and not as he was introduced and depicted to us by the so-called Holy Bookor by the dogmas that appeared after him . Jesus (PBUH) must be the

criterion from which theories and practices should emanate , but church

dogmas based on mythology, that had no connection with what Jesus(

PBUH) had said or done, have prevailed to replace Jesus(PBUH) nay, to

remove him. Jesus' (PBUH) contribution to the religion attributed to him

    and considered as its founder is very little;

consequently we have to begin a new theological page". Allah the

Almighty, addressing the Christians , said : " 0 People of the Book !

commit no excesses in your religion :nor say of Allah aught but the truth

.Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than ) a messenger of Allah ,

and His Word , which He bestowed on Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from

Him :So believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not Trinity: desist: It

will be better for you : For Allah is One God : Glory be to Him: (Far

Exalted is He) above having a son . To Him belong all things in the heavens

and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs" . [ Al- Nisa orthe Women 171 ]

2- Allah the Almighty is the Judge .

    Allah , exalted and dignified , is the judge who forgives whoever Hewills and punishes whoever He wills . Allah the Almighty said ;

    " (Where) Allah commands there is none to put back His command ;

and He is swift in calling to account" . [ Al - Raid or Thunder 41]This verse should not be superficially understood ; Allah never does

injustice . Allah the Almighty said:" This is because of the

(unrighteous deeds) which your hands sent on before ye ; for Allah

never do injustice to those who serve Him". [Al- Imran or the Family

of lmran 182 ]. Rewards then are for deeds and intentions and no

soul shall suffer an atom weight of injustice .To sum up : There is none who is more exalted and more

sublime than Allah ; so if Allah has chosen (the second hypostasis) (1); Hisson to redeem humanity(2); then the logical " decisive " question that is

raised : For whose pleasure this redemption or sacrifice had been made ?

( 1 ) The first hypostasis is the Lord, the second hypostasis is Jesus and the third Hypostasis is the Holy Spirit.(2 ) This paragraph has been quoted from the book entitled (Has Allah Appeared in the Body ?) It states: " All thefeatures that the Holy Book stipulated for enabling the intermediary to mediate between Allah and the mankind have metin Jesus according to the dictates of the work which he has come to fulfill. And as a result of these confirmed features inJesus; his mediation, which includes all that, he has done, all that he is still doing to redeem humanity are but the deeds

of a divine being . All Jesus deeds and pains , due to his mediation ,had been those of a divine being . So he who hasbeen crucified is the Lord ,the Lord of glory and he who exposed himself to death is the second hypostasis of Allah ."

The process of sacrificing entails the presence of three parties :

    1- The sacrificing " People "2- The sacrificed " Jesus "

3- The sacrificed for " The Lord "

The first case : This is based on the assumption that God has appearedin the body of Jesus so Jesus , the Lord was sacrificed to please the

Lord ; this is absolutely unacceptable because it contradicts reason and

logic .The second case : If we assume that the sacrificed is Jesus , the son,

how is it possible that people should sacrifice Jesus , the only son, to

please his father, the Lord ; this is also against reason and logic thetheme derived from sacrifice process to please the Lord (the sacrificed

for). If we set an example derived from the story of Abraham (PBUH)

when he decided to sacrifice his son Ishmael (PBUH) so as to please

    Allah ,we find :

1- Abraham was the sacrificing .

2- Ishmael was the sacrificed .3- God was the sacrificed for.

In this case the process seems logical, reasonable and quiteacceptable.Perhaps this notion of sacrifice, being an atonement for people's sins,

had been taken from pagan milieu where Paul was born and brought

up . This pagan conception holds that people wash their sins andmisdeeds by the blood of a righteous being ; exactly as the pagans of

Tarsus, who believed that they could wash their sins and misdeeds bythe blood of the God Mytharus .

  • 8/3/2019 Allah the Only Eternal

    14

Or as they had believed that they could be saved by Heraclius ; the half

God who had descended to the world of dead to save the souls of human

beings . This conception was acceptable and very reasonable to thethinking of the Hillinistines ,the inhabitants of Syrian Intaqia .(1) It was

the same conception that Paul preached about Jesus (PBUH), and upon this

same conception Paul has founded what is now known as Paul's

Christianity, thus the historical Christian Jesus was removed to be replaced

by Jesus the mythological (Christos), who by his death on the Cross has

redeemed the sins of the world because he has saved humanity from theeffects of sin and its consequences ; all this is evident in Paul's statement:

(If integrity was in following the code , then Jesus death would beuseless)" Paul's message to the people of Ghalatiah (2-21 ) " You should

also know, my brethren that through this man, Jesus , your sins have been

forgiven ,and through him also, any person believing in him can free

himself from any thing he had not been able to free himself from it, asdecreed in Moses' Code (Messengers' deeds 13-38-39 ) (2 ).

The previous analysis has reasonably and logically invalidated Paul's

theory and acquitted Jesus (PBUH) of Paul's claims and his Christianity.

Jesus (PBUH), by the command of Allah, will be a witness, on the Dayof Resurrection against his enemies, the enemies of Allah and against Paul

and his straying and misleading group. Allah the Almighty said:"That they said (in boast), " We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, themessenger of Allah"; - But they killed him not, nor crucified him. But so it

was made to appear to them. And those who differ therein are full of doubts,

with no (certain) knowledge. But only conjecture to follow, for a surety theykilled him not". Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is exalted

in power, wise; - And there is none of the people of the Book but must

believe in him before his death; and on the day of Judgment he will be a

witness against them." [Al Nisa or the Women 157-158-159]However, when the church seems to adopt Paul's creed, there is quite a

number of academicians and scholars of the Holy Book as well as some ofthe clergy endeavor trying to find a reasonable alternative to the status quo

but without success because they simply invented new theories of their

own. Some of them denied absolutely the historical mission of Jesus (PBUH),

Others claimed that Jesus (PBUH) was but a religious preacher only; and

they totally rejected the Divine revelation sent down to him. Some of themtried to invent legends about his mission. Many others called for a

reproduction of Christianity in a new garment. (1)

Many Christians do not heed the insufficiency of the historicaldocuments about the existence of Jesus , peace be upon him , and prefer to

keep absolutely silent about it, at the time when they accept the various

significant historical contradictions and sophism contained in the gospels

and acknowledging the strange novelties about Christianity, which had been

taken in later times from unbeliever nations which nowadays constitute anintegral part of Christianity-scholars of theology. Catholic philosophers,

protestant, and Christians in general spare no effort to understand and

illustrate in carnation and trinity in a rational way, but they failedcompletely ; had it not been possible to be otherwise ?.(2)

Anbiya or Prophets 2]. "But there comes not to them a newly revealed

Message from Allah .the most gracious but they turn away there from. [Al-

Shuara or Poets 5]. "They have indeed rejected the message: So they willknow soon (enough) the truth of what they mocked at". [Al-Shuara or Poets

    6] The Holy Quran also described how they received the Prophet's Messagewith arrogance and mockery;

which soon turned to become sheer enmity and indifference (1).

3- Allah has honoured man with reason :-

Allah the Almighty has honoured man with the reason and it was He whomade man superior to other creatures ; eventually this superiority,

bestowed by Allah , has enabled man , through his reason, to exploit and

build the earth and use it for his service. Allah the Almighty said : "Behold, thy Lord said to the angels; "I will create a vicegerent on earth."

They said: "wilt thou place therein one who will make mischief therein

and shed blood? - Whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify ThyHoly (name)? "He said: " I know what ye know not" (30) And He taught

Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and

said: "Tell me the names of these if ye are right." (31) They said: Gloryto thee; of knowledge we have none, save what Thou hast taught us: in

truth it is Thou who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom." ( 32 )He said:

" 0 Adam! tell them their names." When he had told them Allah said: "

Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know

what ye reveal and what ye conceal?" (33) [Al-Baqara or the Heifer].

The Angels' question was not in vain because when Allah the Almightywanted to make man His vicegerent on earth it was necessary to bestow

on man what distinguishes him from other creatures i.e. the power ofdistinction and thinking and since the Angels know that man's superiorityand unique power of thinking will become a source of corruption and

bloodshed; they are right to think so, because when man got power and

became overcome by ignorance, he turned to be aggressive and arrogant.Had it not been for Allah's grace and mercy, corruption and injustice

    would have prevailed.

Allah the Almighty had taught man and guided him to the good and

righteous path by the revelation He had sent down to His Prophets, God's

peace and blessings be upon them, who conveyed His message to

humanity; so those who refuse to submit to Allah's command and deviatefrom the right path of the prophets are the transgressors. By the virtue of

reason man could exploit and use the potentialities in a way that realizehis interests and make him avoid dangers and harm; that is the acquired

science. Man has the desire to domination, a matter that pressed him to

use his knowledge in inventing means that facilitate the processes of his

domination; this may be accompanied by corruption, injustice and harm

    to people.

Besides the previous sciences which we have defined as acquiredsciences , there are sciences sent down through revelation , these are the

sciences mentioned before which Allah the Almighty has sent down for

the guidance of people and for saving them from corruption andtransgression ; they conform to the goal and call . But peoples whims

and desires have created contradictions and differences . In fact all

sciences are part of Allahs grace but man has the desire and capabilitiesto use the previous sciences in various ways .

However, man's capabilities (the sensational, the intellectual etc,) and hisother scientific attainments do not enable him to acquaint himself withthe secrets of the universe and the dominion of Allah . Allah the

Almighty said: Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except

as He willeth. [Al Baqara or the Heifer 255 ]. Nevertheless, man can

discern the existence of Allah through his capabilities and learning.

If man believes in things which he can not see such as electrons, protons, gravity and the electric and magnetic fields... etc, because he could find

out their effects ! Is it not better for man to believe in Allah the Almightysince all that the universe comprise bear witness to His existence?!In fact there is law and order among all the units that comprise this

universe ; its galaxies and planets are knit together by the force of

attraction and repulsion .gravity and inertia as well as other linkingforces . In his explanation of a part of this force Newton said : " It is

inconceivable to find a lifeless and senseless objects attracting or pulling

another object without any link between them !" (1). A man admittance

of this force is something taken for granted because this force is the onlyscientific means upon which heavens have been established.

    (1) The universe and the scientific miracle in the Holy Quran by Dr. Mansour Hasb Al Nabi .Page 74

    19

In spite of man's knowledge that this force cannot be seen, nor can it

be proved by theoretical experiment, but it can be sensed by its effects.

The Holy Quran has supported the presence of this force indicating thatit is (the pillars; upon which the heavens are established) Allah the

Almighty said "Allah is He who raised the heavens without any pillarsthat ye can see; then He established Himself on the Throne [of

authority]; He has subjected the sun and the moon! Each one runs (its

course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining thesigns in detail, that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with

your Lord". [Al-Raid or the Thunder 2]. Our inability to see this force

(pillars) does not negate its presence and it does exist whether we admitor deny it. Dr. Mansour Hasb Anabbi says:

I believe, (Allah the best to know), that gravity is one of Allah's

command. Allah the Almighty said: "And among His signs is this, that

heaven and earth stand by His command: Then when He calls you, by a

single call, from the earth, behold, ye (straightway) come forth". [Al-

Rum or the Romans 25].(1)This force has been scientifically admitted and without it the heavens

and earth would not have been stabilized, glory to their creatorwho sustains the heavens and earth!! Allah the Almighty said: "It isAllah who sustains the heavens

and the earth, lest they cease (to function): And if they should fail, there

is none -not one- can sustain them thereafter: verily He is mostforbearing, oft -forgiving". [Fatir 41].

    20

It is also possible to know Allah through contemplating the stability andcontinuity of life system and the durability of the movement of the

universe and planets according to a comprehensive system, characterized

by accuracy and complexity ; all these indicate the existence andperfection of the creator.

Making use of reason in acquiring knowledge and learning is but an in-

born inclination otherwise , if the instinct was neglected, what would be

    the use of reason ?

Islam has urged man to make use of his reason to know the creator,

rather Islam has prohibited every thing that harms or impairs this instincteven temporarily such as wine and narcotics . The Messenger of Allah

(PBUH ) said: " The search for knowledge is enjoined on everyMuslim". (1 )

Acquiring knowledge cannot be attained except by reason and prudence .

However, Paul claims that learning and knowledge are sinful, giving

reason for that; in fact he wanted his followers to be ignorant and

heedless so that they would not be able to distinguish between the truth

and falsehood, so he said : " The desire for knowledge made manindulge in sin" . Allah the Almighty has urged people to regard the

wonders of the universe and to be mindful of history and warned themagainst heart blindness : " Do they not travel through the land, so that

their hearts (and minds) may thus learn wisdom and their ears may thus

learn to hear ? Truly it is not their eyes that are blind, but their hearts

which are in their breasts ." [ Al Haj or pilgrimage 46 ]. Thus the HolyQuran addresses those childish - minded people who gave up the use of

their minds and persisted in asking for extraordinary miracles as a

condition for faith . Allah the Almighty said : " And is it not enough for

them that We have sent down to thee the Book which is rehearsed tothem ? Verily in it is mercy and a reminder to those who believe". [ Al

    Ankaboot or Spider 51]

The significance of the former Quranic verse is quite clear; people should

concentrate on the essence of the Holy Quran in a reasonable and mindful

way because it is a miracle in itself; this concentration is sufficient forattaining the truth without asking for extraordinary miracles .

In his book, Jesus in the Quran , professor Jeffrey Parrinder says:

"The deep and significant meanings which the Holy Quran contains arenot known to common Christians , furthermore , the Holy Quran

testimony of monotheism and also that of Jesus , son of Mary, being but

a human being ! This testimony has been a major correction badlyneeded by the church ; but the church ignored it!

Christianity has to restructure its terms such as : son of god ,trinity, devotion and view them in a new way . It must also reconsider the

concepts relating to prophethood and revelation in the light of the Divine

Revelation sent down to Muhammad (PBUH) in the Holy Quran which

is beyond the least shadow of doubt, because the example set by theHoly Quran to the People of the Book compels us to be shy of ourselves"

    . (1 )

Muslims have believed in the Message of Jesus (PBUH) and in his

mission to the Israelites . Allah the Almighty said " The religion beforeAllah is Islam (submission to His will): " Nor did the People of the Book

dissent therefrom except through envy of each other, after knowledgehad come to them ." [ Al-Imran or the Family of Imran 19 ].

Addressing Jesus (PBUH), Allah the Almighty said : " I will make

those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith to the Day ofResurrection". [ Al-Imran or the Family of Imran 55 ]. Those who

followed Jesus were the Muslims whom Allah the Almighty Has placed

them in a higher position than those who rejected the true argument andthe sound logic ; but Allah the Almighty has bestowed authority on those

who follow His code in the universe , whether they are believers ordisbelievers . (2 )

Perhaps the important points, which we need to deal with here, are

those which refer to the causes of mankind straying and which are usually

due to disbelief and ignorance. Disbelievers can be divided into theFollowing categories :

1 - Disbelievers denying Allah the Almighty : (1)They are the disbelievers who deny the existence of Allah and attribute

the cause of creation to nature ; they believe that the universe had been

created by nature and that the vicissitude of time or nature shall annihilatethem together with all other creatures . Allah the Almighty Described

them : " And they say : " What is there but our life in this world ? We

shall die and we live , and nothing but time can destroy us" . But of thatthey have no knowledge ; they merely conjecture" . [ Al Jathia or Bowing

    the Knee .24] .

Allah the Almighty has made it clear that their belief is not founded on

the basis of scientific logic but on mere conjecture . In order to

    understand their psychology more profoundly and more accurately ;

they are usually superficial people when they deal with matterspertaining to religion , they are reluctant to think seriously of what may

change their life and concepts . They constantly run after money thinkingthat money will bring them happiness . They are heedless of therestrictions or principles that prohibit acquiring money illegally .

Al-Shahrastani says about them : " they are thoughtless , reluctant to

believe in Allah and the day when all shall return to Him , they indulgedthemselves in a material and sensual life thinking that there is no other

choice except that; these are the naturalist, atheists and disbelievers. (2)

    23

2- Ignorant but they think they know . (1 )

They are those who attributed to Allah false attributes and imaginedtheir Lord not as He is , or ascribed a son to Him . Allah the Almightysaid : " Say : " Shall we tell of those who lose most in respect of their

deeds ? - 'Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life , While they

thought that they were acquiring good by their works" ? [ Al Kahf or the

    Cave 103-104].

They are divided into two categories :

    (A) - Those who follow their ancestors and like to adhere to what is

inherited and to be as intolerant as their fathers ; they find a goodexample in their fathers and forefathers even if they were wrong . Allah

the Almighty said : " When it is said to them : " Come to what Allah hathrevealed ; come to the Messenger" : They say : " Enough for us are the

ways we found our fathers following ." What! even though their fatherswere void of knowledge and guidance ?" [ Al Mmaeda or The repast

    104]

    (B) - Beneficiaries (opportunists ) who take advantage of the status quoin order to amass money . Allah the Almighty said : " 0 ye who believe!

There are indeed many among the priests and anchorites , who in

falsehood devour the Substance of men and hinder (them ) from the way

of Allah . And there are those who hoard gold and silver and spend it not

in the way of Allah ; announce unto them a most grievous penalty." [ Al-

Tauba (Repentance ) Baraat (Immunity) 34 ].They do not seriously abide by the legislation because they had freed

themselves from the code although they know for sure that they are

wrong ; there are other beneficiaries who could occupy major socialpositions through propitiating leading religious centers . These various

categories are interrelated and sometimes they tend to disbelieve or deny

the existence of Allah due to the weakness of their faith and itscontradiction with science and logic and also due to their reaction

    against church hegemony.

    24

3- Ignorant of Allah by obstinacy and impenitence after knowing Him.

They are those who imagined themselves in a position superior to that

of other people ; they advocate racial discrimination ; a tendency led by

the Satan ,cursed be he , it was the Satan who disobeyed Allah's order

when he refused to prostrate to Adam (PBUH) because of Adam's

different creation . The origin of disobedience was due to the Satan'sreluctance to obey Allah's command ; the righteous Caliph Ali, may god

be pleased with him , said that the Satan's enthusiasm was fortuitous

matter and his hostility to Adam resulted from their different creation .Satan is the enemy of Allah the Almighty and the leader of intolerant,

forefather of arrogant, and the founder of fanaticism. The best example of this tendency are the Jews who arrogantly claim

that they are the chosen people of Allah and that the rest of people are

inferior to them (Although they know that their ancestors were favored

by Allah because of their piety) Allah Almighty said: "(both) the Jewsand the Christians say: "We are sons of Allah, and His beloved". Say:

"Why then doth He punish you for your sins? Nay, ye are but men,-of

the men He hath created: He forgiveth whom He pleaseth .And He

punisheth whom He pleasth ; and to Allah belongeth the dominion of theHeavens and the earth and all that is between ; and unto Him is the final

goal (of all)".( 18)" 0 People of the Book ! Now hath come unto you , making (things) clear

unto you, Our Messenger, after the break in (the series of) our

Messengers , lest ye should say : " There came unto us no bringer of gladtidings and no warner (from evil)": But now hath come unto you a

bringer of glad tidings and a warner (from evil). And Allah has power

over all things (19) [ Al - Maeda or The Repast ].

    25

4 - Ignorant of Allah by envy and rancour :

Allah exalted in might said : " Quite a number of the People of theBook wish they could turn you (people) back to infidelity after ye have

believed. From selfish envy, after the truth hath become manifest unto

them : but forgive and overlook, till Allah accomplishes His purpose forAllah hath power over all things ." [ Al - Baqara or the Heifer 109 ]

The previous Quranic verse aims at warning the believers of the envy

that had overruled many of the People of the Book and led them astrayso they schemed to mislead the believers ; they know that Muhammad (

PBUH) is the seal of Prophets and the Holy Quran is God's revelation tohim ; but overwhelmed by envy and rancour, they tried by all means to

discredit Muhammad (PBUH), and many of them endeavoured to

imitate the Holy Quran by twisting their tongues so that the listener

should think that they were reciting Allah's words . Allah the Almightysaid : " There is among them a section who distort the Book with their

tongues: (as they read) you would think it is a part of the Book but it is

no part of the Book; and they say: " That is from Allah". But it is not

from Allah : It is they who tell a lie against Allah , and (well) they knowit! ( 78 ). It is not (possible) that a man , to whom Is given the book, and

wisdom, and the prophetic office, should say to people : " Be ye myworshippers rather than Allah's ". On the contrary (he would say):

" Be ye worshipper of Him Who is truly the cherisher of all for ye have

taught the Book and ye have studied it earnestly " . [ Al - Imran or theFamily of Imran 78 - 79 ] .

    26

The arbitrary means that are adopted in fighting against Allah's bookhave become more obvious and the Holy Quran has denounced them

saying: " Fain would they extinguish Allah's light with their mouths , but

Allah will not allow but that His light should be perfected , even though

the unbelievers may detest (it)" It is He who hath sent His Messengerwith guidance and the religion of truth, to proclaim it over all religion,

even through the pagans may detest (it)" . [ AL - Tawba or Repentance.

    32 - 33 ].

They even endeavour by all means to distort the Holy Quran but in vainbecause the Holy Quran is guarded by Allah the exalted and omnipotent.

Allah the Almighty said: We have without doubt, sent down the

Message and we will assuredly guard it (from corruption)". [ Al - hijr or

    the Rocky Track 9 ]

4 - The infallibility of the Messengers and their miraclesAllah the Almighty has chosen the Messengers and made them infallible

and supported them with miracles and clear cut signs to strengthen theirposition before people . Allah the Almighty said : "That mankind, after

(the coming) of the Messengers, should have no plea against Allah for

Allah is exalted in power, wise". [ Al-Nisa or the women 165].

Therefore, mankind should have no plea against Allah after the coming

    of Messengers ; for Messengers are the keys of guidance to mankind ;

this means that Allah has shown people the way to salvation , butseditions turned people away from the straight path . Seditions are so

many (self sedition , money sedition , women sedition and so on), all ofwhich affect people's choice , so they become seduced and misled.

Since Allah has sent prophets to mankind so that they should have noplea against Him after that. The plea then is to Allah against those of

    the mankind who had disbelieved or gone astray from the true path ;

(Religion of Allah) led by seditions . When people Shall be asked if theyhad known of the Messengers ? There will be a question , especially

after the Final Message ; the Message of Muhammad (PBUH) which has

established the plea and miracle before the people up to the Day ofJudgment; this question will be : Why have not they believed ?

However, he who has believed will have acquitted himself and he who

has disbelieved will not have his deeds accepted and in the hereafter hewill be among the losers . Allah the Almighty said :

" If any one desires a religion other than Islam ( submission to Allah )

never will it be accepted of him ; and in the hereafter he will be in the

ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good)" . [ Al-Imran or the

    Family of lmran 85 ].

    28

The three most important Messengers , particularly at present, are :

1 - Moses ( PBUH):To whom the Torah was revealed , and he was honoured by the converse

in secret (1 ); but this does not mean that Moses (PBUH) has seen Allah

the Almighty . Allah Glorified be He said: When Moses came to the

place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, he said: 0 my Lord

! show (thyself) to me , that I may look upon thee. Allah said : by no

means canst thou see Me (direct), but look upon the mount; if it abide inits place , then shalt thou see Me . When his Lord manifested His glory

on to the mount, He made it as dust and Moses fell down in a swoon .When he recovered his senses he said :Glory be to Thee ! To Thee I turn in repentance ,and I am the first to

    believe ." [ Al-Araf or the Heights 143 ].

Moreover, the miracle of Moses (PBUH ) lay in his defeating themagicians of that era, when magic was a predominant feature, by the

force of truth . Allah the Almighty said : " They said: " 0 Moses !

Whether wilt thou that thou throw (first) or that we be the first to throw?

    65. He said, " Nay throw ye first!" Then behold their ropes and theirrods- so it seemed to him on account of their magic - began to be in a

lively motion !" 66 " So Moses conceived in his mind a (sort of) fear. 67

. " We said fear not! for thou hast indeed the upper hand: 68. " Throw

that which is in thy right hand: quickly wilt swallow up that which they

have faked ; what they have faked is but a magician's trick:and the magician thrives not", 69 (no matter) where he goes- "So the

magicians were thrown down to prostration : They said : " We believe in

the Lord of Aaron and Moses". [ Taha 65-66-67-86-69-70 ].

The previous Quranic verses asserts that the miracle of our master Moses

(PBUH) had not been mere magic but it had been the truth that defeated

the magicians whose deeds were false.

    2 - Jesus (PBUH):

To Whom the Gospel was revealed ; He was also supported by the Holy

Spirit and could , by the leave of God , bring the dead back to life, cure

the diseased , the disabled and the blind (1). Allah the Almighty said : "

Then will Allah say : " 0 Jesus the son of Mary ! Recount My favour tothee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the Holy Spirit,

So that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity.

Behold! I taught thee the Book and wisdom , the Torah and the Gospel. And behold ! Thou makest out of clay , as it were , the figure of a bird ,

by My leave , and thou breathest into it, and it becometh a bird by My

leave , and thou healest those born blind , and the lepers , by My leave.

And behold ! thou bringest forth the dead by my leave .And behold! I

did restrain the Children of Israel from ( violence to) thee when thoudidst show them the clear signs , and the unbelievers among them said :

This is nothing but evident magic ." [ Al- Maeda or the Table Spread

110]. The Muslim scholar, Ibin Kathir said : " Allah the Almightyrecounts His favours on His servant and Messenger, Jesus (PBUH),

Allah the Omnipotent has enabled Jesus (PBUH) to perform

extraordinary miracles and created him from a mother without a fatherand made him a sign and clear cut evidence of His power over all things

3- Muhammad (PBUH): To whom the Holy Quran was

revealed. The Torah and Gospel (1) were manipulated by man to become

obscure and vague statements full of errors, distortion and aberration "

without an authority from Allah". However, this does not necessarilymean that all their content had been perverted; there still exist some

sound parts, but most of the other parts that touch upon creed and in borninclination have been distorted.

In " The Jesus Seminar", many investigators of the leading scholars and

professors of theology in America have admitted that 82% of thestatements ascribed to Jesus (PBUH) in the Books were groundless,(2)

and that thoughtful people should undertake objective studies to find out

the differences between these statements and the Glorious Quran , theeternal miracle .The major differences and their causes are as follows :

1- The difference of the nature of the Mission and Message :

In fact Muhammad's (PBUH ) Mission has been for the entire

mankind and it is the final Message ; it is a comprehensive code that

has abrogated the other Messages . It has brought bliss, mercy and

intimacy to all the people . Allah the Almighty said : "We sent theenot, but as a mercy for all creatures."[Al-Inbiya or the Prophets 107]

Commenting on the significance of (Seal Mission), Murad Hughmansays: "Seal means completion and perfection which were not realizedbefore Muhammad (PBUH) in spite of the delivery of Moses

    and

Jesus' (peace be upon them) Messages. There had been urgent need for

a complete, perfect and comprehensive Message; this was achieved bythe advent of Muhammad's (PBUH) Mission. Human need in the

seventh century made way for the abrogation of the previous criteria

to be replaced by the Holy Quran. In the light of this we can

understand the true significance of the following Quranic verse "Thisday have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon

you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion". [Al-Maeda or

The Repast 3-4]. This verse was revealed to Muhammad (PBUH)

eighty-one days before his death , to announce the end of

Muhammad's mission who has delivered the message and fulfilled thetrust.

( 1) The Torah and the Gospel (in your hand ) are different from those revealed to Moses and Jesus .( 2 ) Christianity, Islam and Orientalism Page 61 ( Seminar T F G Page 5 ).

    31

Eventually there will be no other Divine Message after Muhammad(PBUH); but this does not mean that there had not been any one who

claimed prophethood ,nay, some had arrogantly claimed Divinity aswell. But history has irrevocably maintained , for more than 1400 years,

that there had been no true prophet after Muhammad (PBUH) Allah the

Almighty said : "Muhammad is not the father of any of your men ,but(he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the seal of the Prophets: And Allah

has full knowledge of all things."[Al-Ahzab or the Confederates 40].

Since Islam is the final Message and the plea against mankind, thereforeits miracle will remain eternal forever.

    2- The Holy Quran:

It is purely and absolutely God's own words; it is the everlastingmiracle of our master Muhammad (PBUH). The Glorious Quran

exists in its original text without the slightest alteration of letter,

syllable, jot or tittle and it will remain so forever. Allah the Almightysaid: "No falsehood can approach it from before or behind it; it is sent

down by one full of wisdom, worthy of all praise". [Fussilat orabbreviated letter 42].A miracle is something extraordinary, beyond the human power ! The

Holy Quran's miracle lies in the fact that it comprises verses, which

imply literary and moral concepts, the like of which human power, what ever resourceful it might be, can never produce. {It is an ever-

    lasting challenge about the presence of mankind}

More than 1400 years have elapsed since the Holy Quran was

revealed and it is still fully preserved. In fact no other scripture hasbeen fully preserved. Allah the Almighty said: " Nay, this is a

glorious Quran, (inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved. [Al-Buruj or the

Zodiacal Signs or (The Constellations) 21-22]. Unlike the Old andNew testament wherein someone narrates indirectly about a person

or a thing or even about Allah ; in the Holy Quran the narrator is

always Allah the Almighty , He tells about Himself ,glorified and

exalted be He , using the second person singular , the second

person plural and the third person singular so that we remain aware

that Allah the Almighty is above embodiment and personification. .In his book , The Bible The Quran and Science , Maurice Bucaille

proved that the Holly Quran is the only Scripture whose verses donot contradict with what has been admitted by the modern science .

here lies the secret of the conversion to Islam of the leading

    figures of freethinking in Europe.

We shall refer briefly here to the miracles of the Holy Quran:1- The linguistic miracles: -

The Arabs were famous for their literary creativity; literature and

poetry were the essential features of their life; poetry expressed

their joy, sorrow and pride; it was part and parcel of their life. TheHoly Quran, with its eloquent and highly refined inimitable

language made grammarians derive their grammatical rules from

the Quranic texts . A researcher who studies and compares any of

these texts to other texts produced by writers , poets or orators will

certainly discern the Divine style ,the like of which human beingscan never produce . The structural consistency of the Quranic

expressions and vocabularies make any substitute of other words,

which convey the same effect or beauty, impossible.

  • 8/3/2019 Allah the Only Eternal

    34/58

    33

The disbelievers of Qureish had witnessed to the linguistic wonders

of the Holy Quran . Al-Walid Bin Al-Mughira said; " By God, the Quran

is so sweet and refined in its totality that no human being can ever say the

like".(1)The Holy Quran , moreover, has preserved to the Arabic language itsAuthenticity throughout the ages and will certainly continue to preserve it

in the ages to come ,by the Grace of Allah .

2 - Meaning Miracle ; this includes the informative, scientific and

    legislative miracles.

The informative miracle consists of informing the Messenger of Allah,

Muhammad (PBUH) as well as the Muslims about: The news and storiesof the ancient nations and prophets, whom Muhammad (PBUH) had not

known, for Muhammad (PBUH) was far away , in time and place , fromthose nations ; such as the Pharaohs , the Children of Israel, Saba,

Solomon ,the people of Saleh , Thamud and others . However, the Holy

Quran and the Revelation have acquainted Muhammad (PBUH) with the

news of those people and some of this news appeared in the Torah and the

    Gospel.

The children of Israel disagreed about matters that appeared in the

Holy Quran. Allah the Almighty said: "Verily this Quran doth explain to

the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree". [AlNaml or the Ants 76]. The reference to the children of Israel in the above

Quranic verse includes the Jews and the Christians because both of them

believe in the Old Testament as it exists today; although it contains a

combination of what is revealed and what has man written accounts, and

because of this combination, the Holy Quran aims, among many other

things, at clarifying the matters in which Jews and Christians disagreedin order to distinguish between the true and false. The word "most" and

not all in the above Quranic verse means that all the hidden matters willnot be clarified except in the Hereafter. (1) And for further distinction

and confirmation of the Holy Quran miracle, it is necessary to refute ,by

an absolute scientific argument beyond any shadow of doubt ,the

allegations of those who claimed that the Holy Quran had been dictatedto Muhammad (PBUH) from the Torah and the Gospel. We need to

present the story of the perdition of Pharaoh's army as it is narrated in

the Old Testament and in the Holy Quran as follows:

A- In the Book of Exodus 14 , 15 ,26 - The Lord said to Moses, " hold out your hand over the sea, and the

water will come back over the Egyptians and their chariots and drivers .

27 - So Moses held out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the water

    returned to its normal level.

The Egyptians tried to escape from the water, but the Lord threw them

into the sea28 - The water returned and covered the chariots, the drivers, and all the

Egyptian army that had followed the Israelites into the sea, not one of them

was left.29 - But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground, with walls of

    water on both sides.

30 - On that day the lord saved the people of Israel from the Egyptians,

and the Israelites saw them lying dead on the seashore.

31-When the Israelites saw the great power, with which the lord had

defeated the Egyptians, they feared the lord, and they had faith in theLord and his servant Moses. (1)

B-The Holy Quran: in Yunus or Jonah chapter, Allah the Almighty said:

"Moses prayed: "Our lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on Pharaoh and his

chiefs splendour and wealth in the life of the present, and so, our Lord they

mislead (men) from thy path. Deface, our Lord, the features of their wealth.

and send hardness to their hearts, so they will not believe until they see thegrievous penalty. (88) Allah said: "Accepted is Your prayer (0 Moses and

Aaron)! So stand ye straight, and follow not the path of those who know

not .(89) We took the Children of Israel across the sea : Pharaoh and hishosts followed them in insolence and spite . At length, when overwhelmed

with the flood , he said: "I believe that there is no God except Him whom

the Children of Israel believe in : I am of those who submit (to Allah in

Islam ).(90) (it was said to him :) "Ah now !- But a little while before ,

wast thou in rebellion ! - And thou didst mischief (and violence) !(91). "

This day shall we save thee in thy body ,that thou mayest be a sign to thosewho come after thee ! But verily , many among mankind are heedless of

    Our signs F (92) [Yunus or Jonah . 88 - 92 ].

The Quranic verse 92 , from Jonah chapter, revealed that the Pharaoh'sbody had been preserved , as a mummy, to be a sign and a lesson to those

who will succeed him ; this was confirmed by the recent discoveries , butthe Holy Quran referred to it more that 1300 years ago. After an intensive

study, Morris Boucaille says that he supports the viewpoint, which

maintains that Merneptah , the Pharaoh who succeeded Ramses II whosecorpse remained preserved , is Moses' Pharaoh . The Holy Quran had not

specified the identity of the Pharaoh since all the kings of Egypt were

called Pharaohs. (1) The Holy Quran has illustrated the attitude of theunbelievers in a full manner to enforce the former miracle by another

one, for further clarification; Allah the Almighty said: " But theMisbelievers say:

"Naught is this but a lie which he has forged. And others have helped

him at it." In truth it is they who have put forward an iniquity and afalsehood (4) and they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has caused to

be written: and they are dictated before him morning and evening(5) Say:

"The (Quran) was sent down by Him Who knows the mystery (that is) inthe heavens and the earth: verily He is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful(6)."

    [Al-Furqan or the Criterion].

    (B) 2- The revelation of the Holy Quran acquainted the Prophet,

Muhammad (PBUH) with many matters, which occurred in his time, but

he had not known them, such as the stories that exposed the hypocritesbefore the people. The Holy Quran even revealed their unexpressed

thoughts and what is really passing in their hearts.

Allah the Almighty said: "The hypocrites are afraid lest a Sura should be

sent down about them, showing them what is (really passing) in theirs

hearts. Say: " Mock ye! But verily Allah will bring to light all that yefear (should be revealed). [Al-Tauba or the repentance 64]

    (C) 3- The Glorious Quran has informed the Muslims about hiddenmatters

which had not come to pass . Allah the Almighty said : " The Roman

Empire has been defeated - In a land close by : But they ,(even) after(this) defeat of theirs , will soon be victorious". [ Al-Rum or the Romans

    2-3 ]

This Quranic prophecy came true because the Romans achieved victoryafter they had been defeated by the Persians . Allah the Almighty said :

" And We gave (clear) warning to the Children of Israel in the Book ,

that twice would they do mischief on the earth and be elated with mighty

arrogance ( and twice would they be punished )! When the first of the

warnings came to pass. We sent against you Our servants given to

terrible warfare: They entered the very inmost parts of your homes; and itwas a warning (completely) fulfilled." [ Al-Isra or Bani Israil or the

Children of Israel. 4-5 ]Many interpreters of the Holy Quran assert that the first arrogance andmischief had been accomplished when Allah sent to them the Babylonian

king, Nebuchadnezzar who drove them out of their homes, killed many

of them and took many others as captives to Babylonia.(l) Allah theAlmighty said : " And We said there-after to The Children of Israel, "

Dwell securely in the land (of promise) but when the second of the

warnings came to pass , We gathered you together in a mingled crowd .

We sent down the ( Quran ) in Truth , and in Truth has it descended ; andWe sent thee but to give glad tidings and to warn (sinners). [ Bani Israil

or the Children of Israel. 104 - 105 ]. Glorified be Allah, He is True,

what He says is true , what He promises is true, Paradise is true, the Hell

fire is true, the Prophets (PBUT) are true and Muhammad (PBUH), who

was sent to give glad tidings and to warn, is true. The second arrogance, and mischief, most likely, commenced with the

convening of the Jewish conference in Basle, Switzerland, 1897 A.D (1).

When the influx of Jews in a "mingled crowd" onto Palestine, toestablish the state of Israel" had started.

This is exactly what the Holy Quran had predicted!! Allah the Almightysaid: Thenceforth were your hearts hardened; they became like a rock and

even worse in hardness. For among rocks there are some from which riversgush forth, others there are which when split asunder send forth water; and

others, which sink for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye

do" [Al-Baqara74]. Moses (PBUH) addressing the Israelites said: "I know

your obstinacy and your hard hearts; you will spread corruption, after mydeath, and deviate from the right path, I ordered you to follow, mischief will

befall you at the end. (1)

After their second corruption, which has not finished yet, and which will

be confirmed by the leadership of the imposter and the appearance of theGuided and the descent of Jesus (PBUH). "And soon will the unjust knowwhat vicissitudes their affair will take". Jesus (PBHU) shall be a sign for

the approaching of the hour (The Day of Judgment). Allah the Almighty

said: " And (Jesus) shall be a sign (for the coming of) the Hour (ofJudgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me:

this is a straight way". [Al-zukhruf or Gold Adornment 61]. This means

that the sign of (Hour) will be known by the descent of Jesus (PBUH).

The scientific miracle :The Holy Quran repeatedly mentions the universe and the secrets it

comprises . Any one who contemplates this universe will realize that theorderly movement of all the heavenly bodies is not accidental but in

accordance to flawless creation . The sun ,the moon the stars and in fact

all the other heavenly bodies follow an unalterable law and do not make

the slightest deviation from their ordained course . Allah exalted in might

said : " And a sign for them is the Night: We withdraw there-from the

Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness; And the sun runs its coursefor a period determined for it; that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in

Might, the All-Knowing . And the moon-We have measured for itmansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old (and withered) lower part

of a date-stalk . It is not permitted to the sun to catch up the Moon , nor

can the Night outstrip the Day : Each (just) swims along in(its own) orbit(according to law)". [Ya-Sin;(Being Abbreviate Letters). 37-38-39-40].

Science has confirmed that the moon is a dim planet; it simply reflects the

light of the sun . Allah the Almighty said: " And made the moon a light intheir midst, and made the sun as a (glorious) Lamp.[Nuh or Noah. 16].

The various orbits of the earth in its rotation around the sun have beenconfirmed in the Holy Quran . Allah the All-omniscient said : "Now I do

call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and The West that We can

certainly -" [ Al-Maarij or the Ways of Ascent 40 ]. It has become well

known at present that the atmosphere only spreads the light of the sun onearth ; beyond this atmosphere the space is dark and the sun appears in

this part as a bright star. Allah the Almighty said : " Even if We opened

out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day)

ascending therein , they would only say : " Our eyes have been intoxicated: Nay, we have been bewitched by sorcery ." [ Al-Hijir or the Rocky Tract

    14 - 15 ]

  • 8/3/2019 Allah the Only Eternal

    41/58

    40

Evidently this means that when we exceed the atmosphere we shall see

the sun as a bright star and the other sky ,(the atmosphere) completely

dark(l), even we think that our eyes have been closed, while the sun isapparent, or that we have been bewitched .

Upon pondering over all that we will realize that the orderly movement

of the universe is not accidental but in accordance with flawless creation .

It is strange to say that man is unable to realize or comprehend the essence

of himself as well as the other creatures . Allah the Almighty said : "Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide-He openeth their breasts

to Islam; Those whom He willeth to leave Straying-He maketh their

breasts close and constricted , as if they had to climb up to the skies thusdoth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe ." [ Al-Anam

    or Cattle 125 ].

Science has revealed that the higher we ascend in the sky the less

oxygen and pressure there will be and man will suffer from dysponea and

eye, ear and body problems in general. In one of the seminars theembryologist, Marshal Johnson , after he had studied the Quranic verses

relating to the embryo evolution (which is a modern science) said:" if we

possessed such facts we would make a worldwide fuss about them " (2).Allah almighty said: " Man we did create from a quintessence (of clay).

    Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed;

Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood ; then of that clotWe made a (fetus) lump ; then We made out of that lump bones and

clothed the bones with flesh ; then We developed out of it another creature

. So blessed be Allah, the best to create ." [Al-Muminun or the believers .12-13-14 ].The firmly fixed place of rest is a miracle, which the

physicians and those who have studied anatomy can better understandbecause the womb in its formation and specification is equipped with what

fully enables the germ of fecundation. There are wonderful hiding places

for the germ in the womb mainly created for that effect, in addition to

secreted material for its protection and for preserving life in it against theacidic material that kills it.

The word clot was not known by the Arabs then ,it is the congealed

blood . The miracle of the embryo evolution ,that became later known ,

refer to the germ of fecundation in the male sperm that raises its head to

There are quite a lot of Quranic verses , sent down to Prophet

Muhammad (PBUH) , which indicate that the Holy Quran is the Word ofAllah the Almighty Who knows the secret in the Heavens and the earth

and He also knows that a time will come when man becomes acquainted

with the sciences that enable him to discern some of the universe secrets

and to attain some knowledge relating to the nature of creation . That is

why Allah the Almighty had mentioned these facts and sciences at a time

when the people on the earth were not versed in them . The Holy Quranhad not been sent down to particular people or nation but to the entire

humanity ; it is a comprehensive code that has brought bliss to all people .

There are so many scientific secrets that the Holy Quran has revealed but

what are still hidden would be more important. Allah the Almighty said:

"Soon will We show them Our signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth),And in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the

Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things?" [Fussilat orAbbreviated letters 53]. This means that the scientific miracle of the Holy

Quran will continue until it become manifest that it is the eternal truth.

In connection with the Holy Quran's scientific miracles , it is necessary topoint out that the Holy Quran is the truth, therefore it is never in contrast

with the scientific findings , unlike the so called scientific theories that are

liable to be true or false . On the other hand , the Holy Quran interpreters arenot infallible human beings , they may be right or wrong ; he who errs shall

be excused for multiple reasons ; he may not be well acquainted with thevarious branches of science , on the other hand he may be insufficiently

versed in the Divine Book , any how he will be rewarded by Allah for he

    had done his best.

    Legislative Miracle:

The most elaborate human constitutions and laws have not been able to

produce legislations comparable to those of the Holy Quran . The HolyQuran has clearly defined the purpose of individual life , his relationship

with God as well as with the other creatures . Man's relationship with God is

founded on worship and obedience but that with the people is founded onlegal dealings.

The most remarkable feature that distinguishes the Holy Quran's

legislations from other man-made constitution or law is that the legislator isAllah the Almighty . The Holy Quran is the revelation of God to His

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH); it is a code, which has no boundaries of time, place or nation .

In his introduction to the : (The Outline of History) H.G. Wells says :

"If the reader believes in the fallacy that the Roman , Persian , Greek or

Egyptian civilizations were the most advanced ; he must get rid of such

fallacy immediately . Islam had widely spread because it was the best socialand political system throughout the ages . Islam prevailed because it hadgreatly appealed to the intimidated people who were usually unlettered or

disorganized , governed by selfish , illogical and careless governments .

Islam constitutes the purest, most up to date and most comprehensive

political system the like of which had never been applied in the world nor

had any other political system introduced better life conditions". (1)

In his numerous books, the most important among which is (The

Let us briefly touch upon some of the Holy Quran's legislations :

A- Political Legislation :1- The rule is to God : The Holy Quran is the main source of the Islamic

legislation . It is the words of Allah the Almighty sent down to His

messenger, Muhammad (PBUH); It is a legislation whose rules are beyondthe least shadow of doubt. Allah the Almighty said : "Say": shall I seek for

judge other than Allah ? When He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book,

explained in detail. They know full well, to whom We have given the Bookthat it hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth . Never be then of those

who doubt." [Al- Annam or Cattle 114]. The rule of God the Almightyconstitutes the most important bases of the Islamic legislation. History haswitnessed numerous human endeavors concerning the administration of the

various communities but all these endeavors have been subject to failureand will remain so until God's rule shall prevails. This is quite manifest in

the contemporary so called democratic communities that pretend to be

governed by people; where a social class or ethnic group normally

dominates imposing unjust or tyrannical rule on the people ; utilizing

power to maintain their own interests at the cost of the other's (minority bethey or majority )or even at the expense of other communities .

  • 8/3/2019 Allah the Only Eternal

    45

In this case as well as in other cases when injustice , oppression andintimidation prevail, the need for Allah's just and equitable rule becomes

indispensable ; this rule will always lead to success . Allah the Almighty

said:" 0 ye who believe! if ye will aid (the cause of) Allah, He will aid you

and plant your feet firmly". [ Muhammad 7 ] Allah the Almighty also said :

" Those who respond to their Lord, and establish regular prayer; who

(conduct their affairs by mutual consultation , who spend out of what Webestow on them for sustenance". [ Shura or Mutual Consultation 38 ].

Eventually those who have admitted Allah's command, performed prayer

And conducted their affairs mutually represent the true "democratic"rule.(1) Allah the Almighty said : " And consult them in affairs (of

moment) [Al-Imran or the Family of Imran 159 ] Allah also said : "Kings,

when they enter a country, despoil it ."[Al-Naml or the Ants 34]. This is thesame principle as that proclaimed by the politicians after the industrial

revolution (the separation of power) in the Seventeenth century; when an

individual could control all the powers, which would Certainly, lead to acomprehensive corruption in the society.

B -Social Legislation:Islam has been established on the principle of glorifying and dignifying

the creator, believing in His Oneness and His attributes that no otherbeing ever possessed : The Divine perfection . The Divine legislation ,

introduced by the Holy Quran , made the Islamic viewpoint concerning

the community and the individual different from that of other

    contemporary materialistic systems .

The essence of difference between the Islamic system and other systems

is that the Islamic system seeks the pleasure of Allah the Almightywhereas the other materialistic systems seek matter ! The individuals of

the latter systems believe that their social status is determined by theirfinancial level (although they are quite sure that this will come to an end

however, the believers in Allah know that Allah the Almighty will inherit

the earth and all that on it). Eventually, there are no restrictions, in thematerialistic systems that impede the acquirement of as much material

profits as possible since there is no adherence to Allah's instructions .

The attitude is completely different in the Islamic system because theultimate goal here is Allah's pleasure . This , of course ,does not mean

that one should be devoted to worship only ; one should abide by Allah'sinstructions in all his acts and deeds because Allah the Almighty is

constantly watching over his creatures . Hence Islam has set restrictions

on the individual and community conduct to protect the rights and

freedoms in the context of God fearing .

  • 8/3/2019 Allah the Only Eternal

    48/58

    47

But in the framework of social relationship coordination , the mostsublime human feeling is to like and dislike for the sake of Allah ; such a

feeling will be free from any material goal or profit. Islam has also highlyesteemed the bonds with the relatives who are worthy of our care and gooddeeds . The best deed you may offer to your relatives or to your brother in

humanity is to be the cause of freeing them from the Hell fire and saving

them straying by guiding them to the true meaning of life . Moreover, Islamhas made Allah's pleasure equal to that of parents' pleasure.

    Equality and Justice in Islam:

Islam's call is but Allah's call for equality and justice among the people. No race is superior to another, no people are distinct from others. All the

mankind are Allah's dependents, the most liked of them by Allah is the one

    who provides for his dependents . The principle of equality among themankind is the bases of justice;

and the topmost of justice is to deal fairly with the enemies; this what Allah

the Almighty has ordained. Allah the Almighty said: "0 ye who believe!stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred

of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just:that is next to piety; and fear Allah For Allah is well acquainted with all thatye do." [Al-Maida or the Table Spread 8]. This Quranic verse shows that

justice is next to piety. And the more god-fearing man is the more capable

will he be in dealing fairly and justly with people's rights and freedoms .

The principle of racial discrimination is simply and purely a call for injustice

that will lead to corruption and tyranny . The slogans that call for distinctionamong people are based on racial discrimination such as (the call that

considers all those who do not support the Zionist policy as anti-Semitic ). It isin fact a call for injustice and corruption
