Live Art - CeramicsAlumni CommonsCeramic students Trevor McCraw ’19 and Andrew Davis ‘19 demonstrate how wheel thrown forms come to life using stoneware. Andrew Haraburda ’19, Shaina Belford ‘19, and Maika Danford ‘20 demonstrate how to apply a variety of glazing techniques using designer liner, low fire, and stoneware glazes. Students in this course investigate the transformative properties of clay and apply a wide range of glazes to their work, developing their own voice with this tactile material. A display of finished pieces from this year’s course will be in display as well. Directed by Upper School Visual Art Teacher Jaime Bennati.

Live Art - Stained GlassAlumni CommonsGlass artists Megan Johnson ‘19 and Chloe Tussing ‘19 demonstrate how to cut cold glass for a stained glass window. Each student in this course works rigorously to create a hand drawn design, uniquely their own. Over the course of four weeks, students develop and revise this one design prior to beginning to cut and construct the piece using glass, foil, and solder – a true labor of love. Come learn about their designs and see the artists in action. Directed by Upper School Visual Art Teacher Jaime Bennati.

Live Art - FashionAlumni CommonsCome meet our team of designers including Eric Jacques ‘18, Maya Hammond ‘20, Erin Anderson ‘19, and Lincoln Green ‘18. The Upper School Art Department held Wellington’s First Annual Fashion Show this fall, showcasing individual and collaborative looks. A small selection of work and moodboards will be on display and demonstrations will take place on the sewing machine. Come be amazed by their creations! Directed by Upper School Visual Art Teacher Jaime Bennati.
