Estimados feligreses,

Me

P. Maro

Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Anniversary of Our Lady's Apparition at Fatima & the Miracle of the Sun (1917) - Oct 13

"A powerful call to prayer and conversion; a truly prophetic message if we consider the twentieth century's burden of unprecedented destruction caused by wars and totalitarian regimes, as well as the widespread persecution against the Church." "Although there has been no lack of worries and suffering ... there is comfort to be had in what the 'White Lady' promised the shepherd children: ‘In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph’ Be assiduous in prayer, spiritually united with Mary our Mother, to worship Christ alive in the Eucharist, to fall ever more deeply in love with Him." (Pope Benedict, 6/5/2006)

“Year of St Joseph” Pray with us:

Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

To you God entrusted his only Son; in you Mary placed her trust; with you Christ became man. Blessed Joseph, to us too, show yourself a father

and guide us in the path of life. Obtain for us grace, mercy, and courage, and defend us from every evil.

Amen.

Dear Parishioners,

Thank you for your prayers for us priests and bishops of the our Archdiocese here in Portland. We had a wonderful time in the coast for our convocation. I would like to share some insights with you from our time together during our convocation. Our speakers this year were Dr. Bob Schuchts, Ph.D. and Sister Miriam Heidland, SOLT. They led us to a retreat that focused on healing. All of us need healing. And it is interesting that most of the time we tend to allow time to heal us. When we get hurt and we experience pain in our hearts, we tell ourselves: “In time, I will be better. In time I will heal, this too shall pass…” but does time really heal? Or is it something else? In the retreat, I realized that it is not time that heals, but rather it is love. And that love comes from God.

Brothers and sisters, because we all are not perfect and have the tendency to sin, we need healing. The sooner we realize that, the better our relationships will become - not only with each other but most especially with God. Let us receive the healing we so badly need from the love of God and not anywhere else. It is only from God’s love where we truly will experience healing because it is God only who can unconditionally love and forgive. Let us not wait for time to heal us, let us instead approach the Father who truly has the power to heal our whole being.

In Christ, Fr. Maro
