Service Design K-5th All students that are identified gifted and talented are grouped homogenously within the class. The GT certified teacher meets the needs of the students by: Extending ideas to specific outcomes Researching on topics utilizing the internet, resources from the library and through personal interviews. Extended projects- class and home projects (arts/crafts/language arts) Taught the skill of communication (classroom presentation to their peers) Promote leadership roles- UIL, student council , science club, etc. Promote community services- activities in which students volunteer in our community Promote Dukes University Talent Search. All students that are identified gifted and talented are grouped homogenously within the class. The GT certified teacher meets the needs of the students by:

* GT teachers have 30 hour initial training and a minimum 6 hour update training every year.
