RCIA Calendar – The November 5 session will be on The Liturgical Calendar led by Bruce Peterson. We will meet in the St. Jerome room. RCIA meets every Wednesday night starting at 7:00pm. Message from the Finance Council – Please consider the Parish’s financial needs in your year-end giving plans. To assist with our parish’s growth, we hope you will consider an extra year-end offering to either our stewardship or building fund accounts. We are also prepared to handle donations of stock. Please remember that the collection at all Masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are for the Clergy Welfare Fund. This is a very important collection but these funds do not stay in our Parish. Your prayerful consideration of our Parish’s financial situation is appreciated. Young Adults – The young adult group for those who are 18-21 meets bi-weekly for a meal and discussion. If you are interested and would like more information, please contact Krystina Tacchi. St. Stephen Bookstore – The bookstore will be open next weekend, November 8 and 9 after all Masses. We have Advent wreaths, rosaries, bibles, medals, prayer books/cards, holy water bottles, and more. Knights of Columbus News – There are countless ways to use gift cards for entertaining! Taking guests out for an evening on the town, or simply stocking up on everything you need for a fun night in. The Knight’s have the gift cards for you with limited cards from Walmart, Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Bath and Body Works, and 12 different restaurant locations available for you to purchase and take with you. You can also order any of the hundreds of other cards from your favorite retailers that we always have available. Those will be available for you to pick up the following weekend. All proceeds from the card sales will go to the Building Fund to reduce our parish debt. This is a great way to get the full value of your dollar back in gift cards while you help reduce our parish debt. Catholic Arkansas Sharing Appeal (CASA) – If you have not returned your CASA pledge card, please do so as soon as possible. CASA envelopes are available in the Narthex if you need one. You can drop it in the collection basket or return in the attached pre-paid envelope. To date we have collected 118 gifts totaling $33,817.00 or 87% toward our parish goal of $38,944.50. Thanks so much for your generous support in helping our diocese continue to grow and carry on the missionary work of Jesus. Mardi Gras – Do you enjoy meeting and talking with people? Good at planning a party? Are you a well organized person? If you answered yes to any of these questions the Mardi Gras committee wants you! We are looking to add additional talents such as yours to our planning committee. Don't want to be on the committee, we are in need of people to help prepare for the silent auction. Best part, no meeting attendance required! Please contact Mike Deitering by email at [email protected] or call (810)919-9373.

VIRTUS Training – The next session for anyone who volunteers at the Church is this Monday, November 10 from 6:30-8:30pm in the St. Jerome room. Please call the parish office to register. All volunteers are required to attend VIRTUS training, register online, and keep up to date with their monthly bulletins. Support the Church-Shop Belk – This weekend we will have a table in the Narthex where you can participate in a special Charity sale that is put on by Belk Clothing store. You can purchase a $5 off ticket to be used at a Charity Sale at any Belk store on Saturday, November 8, from 6:00-10:00am. The church keeps 100% of the proceeds and it will all go to paying on the building loan. If you missed the table and still want to participate—please contact Suzanne Sutton in the parish office. Confirmation Sacramental Prep Night – Will be Sunday, November 9. The evening will begin with LifeTeen Mass at 5:00pm, followed by dinner and then class. If you have any questions, call or email Sarah Berry, Confirmation Director, at (479)685-3857 or [email protected]. LifeTeen News – On Wednesday, November 5 there will be co-ed bible study. We will all be in the St. Anne room with snacks!

This Sunday, November 2, is Life Night from 6-8pm. Come join us for dinner, games, discussion, and prayer. Remember to bring a few dollars for pizza!

Next Sunday, November 9, from 6-8pm is a Sacramental Prep night and a Teen Leadership planning night. All Confirmation students must attend their Confirmation class. Students on the Teen Leadership team should plan to attend the Leadership meeting.

LifeTeen will be selling a variety of Advent Wreaths and candles after the 5pm LifeTeen Mass on Sunday, November 9. All proceeds go toward helping to reduce the cost of retreats and special events for LifeTeen students. Your support is appreciated!

Would you like to join us for the March for Life in Washington DC on January 21-25? There are still a couple of spots available to LifeTeens & young adults. Scholarships are available if cost is a concern. If you are interested in attending, please contact Krystina for more information. Boy Scout Troop 525 – Will be taking orders this weekend for their Smoked Pork Shoulder Fundraiser. The cost for the pork shoulder is $35 each; pre-orders only and payment due at time of order. The deadline to order is Tuesday, November 25. Pick-up is scheduled for Saturday, November 29 from 5:00-7:00pm at First United Methodist Church Parking Lot, 201 NW 2nd St., Bentonville. All proceeds support Boy Scout Troop 525 programs. For information or to order, please call or email Al Fischer (479)464-7328: [email protected]. St Stephen Preschool – Will be having their annual bread sale next weekend November 8 and 9 after all Masses.
