PRODUCTION TEAMStacy Alley (Director) is an Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre/Dance at The University of Alabama. She is also a professional director and choreographer whose credits include work at Forestburgh Playhouse in NY (A Chorus Line, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story), the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival (Beauty and the Beast) and at UA’s Summertide Theatre (Jubilee,

Smokey Joe’s Café, Dames at Sea and Anything Goes). Recent University of Alabama credits include Urinetown, Show Boat, Side Man, Chicago and Big River as well as pieces in Alabama Repertory Dance Theatre concerts. Stacy has been performing professionally for over thirty years, including five years as a featured dancer in Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular. She is a member of SAG/AFTRA and the Society of Directors and Choreographers. She serves as the Southeastern Representative for the Musical Theatre Educators Alliance International and is Chair of the Musical Theatre Committee for the Southeastern Theatre Conference. Stacy has taught in Sweden at the Ballet Academy of Gothenburg and the University of Gothenburg’s Academy of Music and Drama and performed in Iquique, Chile at the International Festival of Theatre and Dance last October. Stacy holds an MFA in Acting from The University of Alabama, a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Southern California, and is a Certified Movement Analyst through The Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in NYC.

Karen Baker (Stage Manager) is a UA alumna with an MFA in Directing and is pleased to be returning for her fifth year at SummerTide. Directing credits include Children of Eden, Fefu and Her Friends, City of Angels, The Baby Dance and Screwtape. Stage Management credits include Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Dames at Sea, The 25th Annual Putnam

County Spelling Bee, An Italian Straw Hat and The Rose Tattoo. Karen would like to thank her husband Chris for all his love and support!

PRODUCTION TEAM (Cont.)Andy Fitch (Scenic Designer) Andy leads the MFA program in Scenic Design at The University of Alabama. Some recent designs include: The Color purple, Legally Blond, Hairspray and Drowsy Chaperon for Red Mountain Theatre; The Dixie Swim Club, The Sound of Music and A Lesson Before Dying for Theatre Tuscaloosa; The Three Sisters, The Grapes

of Wrath and Forever Plaid for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Andy is a founding member of the Kitchen Dog Theatre in Dallas and a member of United Scenic Artists.

Abigail Gandy (Technical Director) is a junior from Huntsville, AL. Previous UA credits include Picnic (Stage Manager), The School for Lies (Stage Manager), A New Brain (Stage Manager) and Showboat (Assistant Stage Manager).

Tripp Lancey (Assistant Business Manager) is a senior majoring in History and minoring in Anthropology and Theater. Previous UA credits include Blood Wedding (Assistant Stage Manager), Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Assistant Stage Manager), and Book of Days (Assistant Stage Manager). Other credits include Rumors (Stage Manager).

PRODUCTION TEAM (Cont.)Donna Meester (Costume Designer) is an Associate Professor of Theatre & Dance and Director of Costume Design and Production at The University of Alabama. Some of her favorite designs while at UA include: Ragtime, All’s Well That Ends Well, and The Threepenny Opera. Other design credits include work for The Alabama Shakespeare Festival, The

Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, The Memphis Black Rep, The Red Light Theatre (Washington D.C.), Arkansas State University, University of Louisiana-Monroe, Ouachita Baptist College, Henderson State University, Louisiana State University and The University of Northern Iowa. Meester recently served as Design Chair for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival-Region IV and is a 2011 Recipient of the Kennedy Center Golden Medallion Award, the highest award given to Educators. An active member in the United States Institute for Theatre Design/Technology, Donna serves as the Costume Commissioner. She holds a BS in Apparel Technology from Purdue University and an MFA in Stage Design from Southern Methodist University.

Terry Moore (Musical Director/Pianist) holds a BS Ed Degree in Piano and Voice from Missouri State University and graduate studies in Vocal Coaching and Accompanying from the University of North Texas. This is his second SummerTide season and first as Musical Director. He currently works as staff ac-companist for the Department of Theatre and Dance

at UA and has also been pianist or musical director for several Theatre Tuscaloosa productions. His musical director or pianist credits since moving to Tuscaloosa include Smokey Joe’s Café, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors, Ain’t Mishavin’, Godspell, Bat Boy and Bye-Bye Birdie.

Zachary Swanner (Drummer) is a junior at The University of Alabama studying choral education. He has been a member of the Million Dollar Band Drumline and UA’s Resonance Show Choir for the past two years. In addition to his involvement with the orchestra aspect of musicals, he has also performed in several high school and community

productions in his home town. This is his first summer with Summertide and he is very grateful for this opportunity.

PRODUCTION TEAM (Cont.)William Teague (Lighting & Sound Designer), Professor of Theatre and Chair of the Department, joined the Department of Theatre and Dance in 1981. His area of specialty is entertainment technology, specifically lighting, audio and computer assisted design (CAD). He has worked extensively in outdoor drama, television, film and special event production

as well as legitimate theatre and dance. He has lit UA Theatre and Dance performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington, as well as the Biennial Dance Festival at the Universite de Lumiere in Ly-ons, France. He co-designed and served as technical director for Martha’s Sewing Room, one of the longest running and most viewed shows on Alabama Public Television. Professor Teague is also active in regional and national theatre organizations, serving on the executive board of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) for eight years. He received the Alabama National Alumni Association’s 2004 “Outstanding Commitment to Teaching Award”, and in 1996, was named “Design and Technology Educator of the Year” by USITT.

Dominic M. Yeager (Business Manager) is a graduate of Southern Utah University’s MFA program in Arts Administration. He has had the op-portunity to work both for not for profit organizations and corporations in various locations throughout the United States. Dominic’s most recent work as a consultant offered services to not for profit

organizations and municipalities in the areas of Human Resources, Public Relations and Board Governance. He has worked with Mark Morris Dance Group, Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Cincinnatti Art Museum, among others.

CASTKilian Afzalirad (Chad ) is a sophomore from Mobile, AL. Previous UA credits include Book of Days (James Understudy). Other credits include Romeo and Juliet (Romeo) and The Wizard of Oz (Tinman).

Rachel Baber (Sylvia) is a UA Musical Theatre Alumna from Saraland, AL. Previous UA credits include Seven Guitars (Louise), and Show Boat (Queenie). Other credits include Jubilee (Herself).

Will Erwin (Dennis) is a junior Musical Theatre major from Huntsville, AL. Previous UA credits include Urinetown (Bobby Strong), Blood Wedding (Leonardo), Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Bandleader), SummerTide’s Jubilee (Himself) and Showboat (Ensemble). Other credits include Spring Awakening (Melchoir), Next to Normal (Gabe) and Godspell (Jesus).

Sandra Gates (Lorraine) is a sophomore from Madison, AL. This is Sandra’s acting debut at UA. Other credits include Alabama Rain, Lies About High School and This Old House.

Ben Haupt (Dean) is a junior from Pensacola, FL. Previous UA credits include Urinetown (Mr. McQueen) and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (John C. Calhoun). Other credits include A New Brain (Gordon), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Joseph) and Dames at Sea (Dick).

CAST (Cont.)Brianna Heller (Sandra) is a junior Musical Theatre major from San Diego, CA. This is Brianna’s acting debut at UA. Other credits include [Title of Show] (Heidi), Footloose (Ariel Moore), Little Women (Jo March) and Cinderella (Stepsister).

Kelly Kohlman (Natalie) is a junior Musical Theatre and Business double major from Hershey, PA. Previous UA credits include The Birthday Party (Meg US). Other credits include How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Rosemary Pilkington), Dog Sees God (Van’s Sister) and Snow White (Snow White).

Dr. William A. Martin (Jim) is an assistant professor at The University of Alabama in the Department of Theatre and Dance where he serves as the Director of Vocal Instruction for the Musical Theatre program. He is also active as a professional singer and actor. His varied performance credits include the role of Maurice on the National/North American tour of

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, roles with numerous opera companies including Atlanta Opera and Baltimore Opera, as well as several summers with Lees-McRae Summer Theatre. In September Dr. Martin will travel to Brazil to present a concert and master class in musical theatre voice at the Escola de Musica da Universidade Federal da Bahia. He is a member of the Musical Theatre Educators’ Alliance, the Southeastern Theatre Conference, the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the American Guild of Musical Artists and Pi Kappa Lambda.
