Dear Friends,

This Tuesday we celebrate the Feast of the Archangels and on October 2nd we celebrate the Memorial of the Guardian Angels. In our culture, angels are often depicted as sentimental figures found on Hallmark cards, charm necklaces or bumper stickers. However, the Holy Angels are a very real part of our faith and they are one of the greatest allies to our growth in holiness.

The Catechism states that “From its beginning until death, human life is surrounded by (the angels) watchful care and intercession. Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life” (CCC 336). Did you know that God has assigned a personal Guardian Angel to each one of us? This means your Guardian Angel is assigned to you and only you. God had you and your salvation in mind when He created your Guardian Ange. Your Guardian Angel was specifically chosen for you to be a guide, teacher, protector and intercessor during your time here on earth.

Here are some ways you can foster a relationship with your Guardian Angel:

Call upon your Guardian Angel in times of important decisions. Ask him for his light and guidance in both great and small things.

Call upon your Guardian Angel in times of temptation. Your Angel is always there for you, but he waits for you to invoke his help.

Call upon the Guardian Angel of others. You can pray to your children’s Guardian Angels while they are at school or you can pray to the Guardian Angel of a co-worker when you have a hard conversation ahead of you.

Send your Guardian Angel to assist a loved one. Are you worried about somebody you love? Send your Guardian Angel to comfort them, instruct them, or guide them. Remember, angels are God’s messengers and you can always pray to them to send a loved one a heavenly message or inspiration.

Visionary Meeting for Holdingford, St. Anna and St. Wendel will be on Tuesday, October 27th at 7:00 p.m. at All Saints-St. Mary’s. This is for all those in ACC, Finance Council and Parish Council. If you are on one of these councils and did not receive an email please Contact the Central Office.

behalf of our priests. Give them a

deep love, a burning faith and

confirming hope which will ever

increase in the course of their priestly

life. In their sorrows, strengthen them

and in their sufferings, purify them to

Stewardship Week: Thank you to everyone who participated in “Stewardship Week: Gathered, Nourished and Sent.” It was one of the diocese’s first attempts at pre-senting in a virtual format, and we are grateful for participants’ goodwill as we learn new ways to stay con-nected. Wearing Masks As the weather turns cooler Masses will resume inside our churches following the parameters set up by the diocese to allow for the safety of all. Social distancing and masks will be required in all church buildings. Wearing a mask helps protect others who may not do well with the virus. It is important to note that Bishop Kettler, who is the shepherd we follow, has asked this of us. If you have questions, concerns or comments please contact Jessie Johnson, Parish nurse at: [email protected] (320) 228-0105

Precious Feet Pins In January of 1974, Virginia Evers saw a full page ad showing a photo of a man’s fingers holding the tiny, perfectly formed feet of a baby aborted at 10 weeks. She decided to create the Precious Feet pin which became the international symbol of the pro-life movement. Before she died this July at 99, Virginia said: “The Precious Feet are due for a resurgence”. www.HH76.org

Good Harvest

Thank you from Teresa LeBlanc The past 5 years as Confirmation Di-rector have been AMAZING! Not only have I been able to share and teach the gift of our Catholic faith to some pretty awesome teens, but I also have been able to learn right along with them. God has also taught me more about myself, the kind of person He is calling me to be and that I am never done growing and learning. I’ve be-come aware that our teens are hungry for the faith, they don’t just want to know the ‘whats’ of our faith, they want to know the ‘whys’. Holding this position has been such a wonderful opportunity to expand my knowledge and my relationships. Getting to know

each student was truly a gift for me and I will treasure the time spent with all of them! I pray that someone will come forth now to teach and experience some of these same gifts that I have experienced. I want to graciously thank Mary Solarz for her amazing gifts she brought to our class as well. We made a great team and I couldn’t have done it without her. Mary you are precious to me. And thank you to all our small group leaders, over these years for their support and guidance through some deep conversations. With much joy I watched our teens share great emotion, honesty, doubt and a fair share of laughter during our time together. What a BLESSING! So, students… thank you for this beautiful opportunity to serve and be in relationship with you as you have grown in your Catholic faith! I will continue to hold you in my heart and in my prayers! STAY FAITHFUL, Teresa LeBlanc

Confirmation for St. Columbkille will be on October 8th at 7:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s in St. Stephen.
