Background of JBP Establishment

Difficulty introducing Japanese DRR technologies to other countries due to:

Technologies spread widely across various industries, companies. Many companies at core of DRR technologies are SMEs.Most DRR systems are composed of many technologies. Therefore

providing technologies in a package is required. No DRR section or unit in many countries.

3

Realizing the excellence of Japanese DRR technologies especially after 2011.

→ More Japanese DRR technologies should be introduced to other countries to assist their DRR.

Financially difficult for private companies to promote DRR technologies outside Japan because of its low marketing efficiency.
