Sepam 2000 softwares are PC compatible applications,for Pentium processor 133 MHz (or higher),and Microsoft Windows™ 95 / 98 / NT 4.0.

Installation of thelocal operation software SFT 2801


SFT 2801 is the local operation and parameter settingsoftware of Sepam 2000.It can be used with all Sepam 2000 versions,without restrictions.

The SFT 2801 software performs the following functions:c access to all Sepam 2000 data: measurements,general status, protection settings, etc…,c saving and printing of all the Sepam 2000characteristics,c retrieval and saving of the fault records.

There is a choice of up to 5 application languages:French, English, Spanish, Italian and Russian.

Installation of thesetting software SFT 2821


SFT 2821 allows you to create and downloadthe Sepam 2000 setting files. It can only be usedwith Sepam 2000 S26 and S36 applicationswith serial numbers from 0006024.

The SFT 2821 software performs the following functions:c creation, modification, printing, comparisonof Sepam 2000 setting files (possible without physicalconnection to Sepam 2000),c downloading and uploading of the Sepam 2000setting files.

There is a choice of up to 5 application languages:French, English, Spanish, Italian and Russian.

Installation of thefault records display software SFT 2826


SFT 2826 is the software which allows display,analysis and printing of fault records made bySepam 2000 unit.

It use files with COMTRADE format(IEEE standard common format for transientdata exchange for power systems).

Before analysis with SFT 2826, fault records haveto be transferred from Sepam 2000 and storedon the PC hard disk by SFT 2801 software.

Object of Agreement

The present Agreement is concludedbetween yourself, the recipient of theCD-ROM disc package pertainingto Sepam 2000 Encyclopædia(the “User”), and SCHNEIDERELECTRIC INDUSTRIES SA,a French company, who is directlyor indirectly the expeditor of the CD-ROM disc package (the “Licensor”).The present Agreement has forobject to define the terms andconditions of use of the CD-ROMdisc package and its contents.

Licence

Subject to the terms of thisAgreement, Licensor grants Usera free, limited, non-exclusive,non-transferable license to usethe CD-ROM disc package and theinformation and computer softwareit contains (the “Software”), and theaccompanying documentation(the “Documentation”), only for thespecific purposes of its own businessto order products from Licensor.User undertakes to comply with theinstructions for use of the Softwarecontained in any furnishedDocumentation as the case may be.The Licence to use the Software islimited to a single computer ownedby User within its premises, whichmay be accessed electronically bymore than one employee of User.

Without prejudice to Licensor’s otherrights under its Copyright on theSoftware and Documentation, Useris permitted to copy the Softwarebeyond the installation of theSoftware to a network storagemedium and User may copy anyof the information contained inthe Software only for the purposeof enabling third parties to purchaseproducts sold by the Licensor.

Acceptance

User is deemed to haveaccepted the terms of thisAgreement by loading theSoftware into any computer,by installing the Softwareon any computer or by usingthe Software or Documentation.If User does not consent to theterms of this Agreement, Usershall not use the Softwareor Documentation and shallpromptly destroy or return theCD-ROM disc package togetherwith all accompanying itemsto the address stated below.

Title

The CD-ROM disc package shallremain the sole property of Licensor.The technology and know-how,whether patented or not, embodiedin the Software or Documentation, aswell as all rights of industrial and/orintellectual property attached to theSoftware and Documentation shallremain the sole property of Licensor.

User is not granted any right tomodify, adapt, maintain or servicethe Software and the Documentation.User undertakes not to copy,reproduce, decompile, reverseengineer, disassemble or otherwiseseek to reconstitute the source-codeof the Software. Should User not fullycomply with the above provisions,User shall bear all and anyconsequences, including anydamages whatsoever, resultingtherefrom.

Any third party’s technology whichmay be embodied in the Softwareis also subject to the terms of thisAgreement.

User’sobligations with respect to any partof the Software, the Documentation,or related copies and data which arenot fully erased or destroyed aftertermination by either party shallsurvive termination.

Limitation of liability

While Licensor has taken reasonablesteps to ensure the accuracy of theinformation contained in or shownby the Software or Documentation,Licensor makes no warranty orrepresentation of any kind, whetherexpress or implied, as regardsthe loading, installing or use of theSoftware or Documentation.Without limiting the generality of theabove, Licensor does not warrantor represent that the Software or anyinformation contained in or shown bythe Software and the Documentationwill meet User’s requirements or beerror-free, that the operation of theSoftware will be uninterrupted orerror-free, or that defects in theSoftware or the Documentationwill be corrected.

The Software and Documentation areprovided “as is”. Use of the Softwareor Documentation is at User’s solerisk such that it will bear allconsequences therefrom.

In no event shall Licensor beliable for any damages, loss,expense or cause of action,whether direct or indirect,incidental or consequential,whether in contract, in tort orotherwise, including, withoutlimitation, damages for lossof business, loss of profits,

business interruption, loss ofdata, or any other pecuniary ornon pecuniary loss arising outof or relating to the use of, theinability to use, or the misuse ofthe Software or Documentation,even if the Licensor has beenadvised of the possibility ofsuch damages. In all cases,Licensor excludes all liability,whether in tort, in contract orotherwise, for defects, bugs,errors and viruses which maybe found in or result from theuse or misuse of the Softwareor Documentation.

Entire Agreement

The present Agreement constitutesthe entire Agreement betweenUser and Licensor with respectto the object hereof and replacesany previous agreement orunderstanding, whether oralor written, with a similar object.

Applicable Law

This Agreement shall begoverned by the laws of France.

The Sepam 2000 selection guide software performsthe following functions:c selection of the most appropriate Sepam 2000corresponding to a defined application:v either by the piece of equipment to protect (motor,…),the network characteristics (architecture, earthingsystem, …) and the specific functions required,v or by a list of ANSI codes of required protectionfunctions.c definition and printing of the comprehensivecommercial reference of the selected Sepam 2000.

There is a choice of up to 4 software languages:French, English, Spanish and Italian.

A contextual on-line help is available in these4 languages too. It describes the links betweenthe application characteristics and the selectedprotection functions.
