Carpenter UK operates a state of the artFoaming Plant. Based at Glossop, this plantuses only CO2 as a blowing agent. CarpenterUK is ISO 9001 certified.

Recycling plays a significant role in the business.All our Bonded Foam products are made fromre-cycled off-cuts, either from our ownfactories or collected from our customers.

Our polyester loft insulation is made fromre-cycled plastic bottles, normally destined forlandfill.

We recycle from our waste stream and asmembers of the Buy Recycled Code, wepurchase recycled goods wherever possible.

Carpenter is one of the world's largestprocessors of polyester staple fibre. Ourcomputer controlled lines produce thermallybonded polyester fibre batting of unequalledconsistency. The Reinhart Technical Centre inRichmond, Virginia provides quality and designsupport for the wide variety of Richfibrepolyester products available around the world;these include carded and blown fibre polyester.

Carpenter provides the nextgeneration of loft insulation. Ithas equivalent thermal insulationproperties to glass or rock wool,but is cleaner, greener and saferto install.

Carpenter’s polyester fleece insulation ismanufactured from recycled materials. Eachrole takes at least 105 plastic bottles away fromlandfill, which along with its high performanceenergy saving properties, make it doubly goodfor the environment.

Not only is it the perfect DIY product, it alsohas considerable benefits for builders andinstallation engineers. Rely is a high technologypolyurethane elastomer,developed by Carpenter tomake flat tyres on industrialvehicles a thing of the past. Relyfilled tyres are nail-proof, slag-proof even bullet-proof,saving down time and reducingmaintenance costs.

The Rely system works by replacing the air inthe tyre with a resilient liquid compound whichwill not leak out even if the tyre becomes tornor punctured. The tyre is permanently inflatedto the correct pressure, improving the ride andincreasing the life of the tyre. As there is nochance of a sudden flat or blow out, Rely filledtyres also offer significantly improved levels ofsafety.
