All About the Sea
All these blackline masters can be completed in a variety of ways. These activities are designed to
be stimulating, crafty and fun! They range from simple colouring to more complex artworks
depending on your requirements – it’s up to you! They will equip children with important skills like
colouring, cutting, gluing, folding, constructing and creative thinking. Below are some hints and tips
for each page to help you get the most out of your blackline masters. For more Blackline Master

Construct a TurtleScissors, paper fasteners and glue or tape will be required to com-
plete this activity. For best results, copy this blackline master onto
cover paper.
Decorate with pencils, pastels, paint or markers. For a sparkly shell,
cover the shell in a tiny bit of glue and sprinkle generously with glitter.
Cut out each part of the turtle and attach the legs to the body with
paper fasteners (use the grey dots as a guide to position the legs).
Alternatively you can use glue or tape to join the legs to the turtle’s
body. Make lots of bright glittery turtles to decorate your classroom.
Decorate with pencils, pastels, paint or markers. Add embellishments
like glitter, sequins, rhinestones and sand. Cut out the crab and the
them to start a sea theme diarama.
FishDecorate with pencils, pastels, paint or markers. Add embellishments

decorate the classroom with bright glittery octopus.

Slip, Slop, Slap Colouring SheetTeach children about the importance of sunscreen! Decorate with
pencils, pastels, paint or markers. Add embellishments like glitter,
sequins, rhinestones and sand.
Trip to the Sea Activity SheetFill in the activity sheet questions about a trip to the sea you have
had or a trip you would like to have. Draw or paste pictures of some
of the things you saw and did on your trip to the sea. Alternatively
collage.
Under the Sea Colouring SheetDecorate with pencils, pastels, paint or markers. Add embellishments
like glitter, sequins, rhinestones and sand.
WavesDecorate with pencils, pastels, paint or markers. Add embellishments
like glitter, sequins and rhinestones. Use collage items such as tissue of
crepe paper to create texture in the waves. Use colours that you see
in the ocean like blues and greens. Once each child has decorated
a set of waves, join all the waves together to make a beautiful wave
of the waves to build up the sea mural.
WhaleDecorate with pencils, pastels, paint or markers. Add embellishments
like glitter, sequins, rhinestones and sand. Use tissue paper and
scrunch up strips to decorate the water spout. Cut out the whale and
decorate the classroom with lots of pods of whales.
