Adaptation

Puffins have some adaptations like webbed feet to swim fast, a long bill to catch and eat food and wings to fly. Predators of Puffins are gulls, whales, sharks, seals, and sea lions.

Classification

Puffins look very different from other animals. They have black feathers with a colorful beak. Also, they have webbed feet to swim very fast. Last but not least they have wings to fly!

Food

Puffins eat very unusual animals like small fish, sand eels, herring, hake and capelin. During winter puffins eat crustaceans although they prefer fish.

Habitat

Puffins are always everywhere but here are a few places they live. Puffins live at the north Atlantic ocean. They nest from Labrador to the north-eastern United States. Puffins can be found on rocky coasts in the northern Atlantic ocean.
