MIGRATIONS

Alice initial feeling after falling down the hole was of extreme loneliness. Every attempt to establish a familiar basis of identity creates only the sense of being lost.

9

Page 10: Alice in Wonderland: Discovering our roots · 2018. 12. 4. · INTRODUCTION OUR MAIN SCHOOL AIM IS THE INTERNATIONALIZATION OF EDUCATION “Alice in Wonderland: Discovering our roots”

DEMOCRACY

The story presents a lack of social justice and the need to fight against great odds for rights and freedoms which others take for granted. Although there are plenty of rules, the laws in Wonderland seem ridiculous but they are a parody of justice and democracy

HOW TOGETHER WE ACHIEVE MORE

In the Caucus-race in Wonderland the aim is to have everyone dry off; so it doesn't matter who wins or loses, and clearly the outcome of the race is irrelevant

EUROPEAN CULTURAL HERITAGE

In 1969 Salvador Dali drew a version of Alice in Wonderland. Working on him and Surrealism movements in partner countries will help our students to understand our cultural diversity and develop mutual respect.
