Summary of RNC at STAR and ALICE

ALICE: • EMCal project provides unique opportunity for highly visible, high impact new program that is fully consistent with RNC physics accomplishments and interests

targeted, limited effort focused on EMCal and its related physics

STAR: RNC participation will evolve in next ~3 years:• Expanded effort on STAR tracking upgrades• Correspondingly reduced STAR analysis effort• Current high pT group will migrate to ALICE by 2008

STAR jet physics and hard process analyses will be carried out by the existing “Soft Physics” group
