Alfeld Mill, GermanyCoated and uncoated speciality papersAlfeld Mill is situated in the village of Alfeld to the south of Hanover in Germany and dates back to 1706. The integrated mill uses locally harvested wood to produce totally chlorine-free (TCF) sulphite pulp for the manufacture speciality paper. Alfeld Mill produces coated and uncoated speciality papers as well as Solid Bleached Board (SBB) cartonboards. After substantial investments in 2013, Alfeld’s PM2 is now the world’s fastest machine for one side coated specialty papers.

All production waste-water is precleared and runs back into the river Leine.
Since 1980, the specific energy consumption has been reduced by 50%.

Alfeld Mill produces flexible packaging paper, label papers, liner application papers, rigid packaging, technical papers, and silicone base papers.Experts in product development interpret particular customer needs to create products which perform specific functions. These technical papers are used in a variety of food packaging composites and other speciality packaging and label applications.
