GIS and Remote sensing applications (1st class).

The remote sensing component was assessed by the completion of a practical portfolio of maps using unsupervised classifications and vegetation indices as convergence of evidence to analyse land cover change in Brazil and South Africa. The GIS component of the module involved a written examination and the utilization of ArcGIS online software to produce an ESRI story map, which won the best overall project as voted for by academics and a representative from ESRI themselves (see attached link: https://uwe.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapJournal/index.html?appid=13b3129ebc834989aae2c7ade27040de ). All assessments included reflective elements which allowed for self-evaluation.
