Asthma is a respiratory condition that involves airways narrowing and swelling. It can be triggered by cigarette smoke, dust, pollens, animals, exercise and panic/stress.

Diabetes is a condition that is caused by too much glucose in the blood due to the body not being able to produce the correct amount of insulin to convert food into energy.

Introduction to Cyber Safety Cyber safety is all about protection in the cyber world, it can be

transmitted through the use of computers or mobile phones.

Cyber bullying is a major reason why cyber safety is a great concern as you have to be very vigilant when going online

Impact The impact it has on youths affect their mental, social and

physical health.

It impacts your physical health as instead of being outdoors keeping fit and doing exercise they are remaining indoors and missing out on growing to their full potential physically.

It affects your social health as the perpetrator's are usually considered to be labeled no lifers as they have nothing else productive to do but just terrorize their victims.

Mental health is also strongly affected to the victim as of a result of being bullied low-self esteem is attained.

Incidence, Prevalence, Trends Cyber bullying has increased rapidly due to the advancements of

technology and how accessible it is too use a mobile phone or a computer.

Schools report that 90% of bullying is a result of cyber bullying, and it is most prevalent among 11-16 year olds..

It has changed dramatically over time as in this decade there has been a lot of new websites formed such as MySpace, YouTube and facebook.

Risk/Protective Factors Things you can do to protect yourself from being harmed online is

not to give away personal information or release pictures of yourself as you don’t know where it may end up in the hands with.

As soon as you are online you are vulnerable to cyber bullying so your cyber safety radar must be at full command.

You could always get ant-virus programs or something similar as if you are ever trying to receive an image or file off someone you could always detect if something was a bit suspicious.

Government Strategies There is a number of strategies from the government to help

prevent cyber bullying. From personal strategies you could seek assistance and re-assurance from Net Alert which is a Government Initiative intended to spread the message of dangers online.

Community Strategies that could raise awareness could include running campaigns by visiting schools or maybe recognise it by dedicating a day to cyberbullying.

Rights And Responsibilities Youths are entitled to certain rights and responsibilities.

Everybody has the right to feel safe when they are online and do not have the right to feel threatened, intimidated or frightened by anybody else online.

Youths also have the right to let their voice be heard so if they make a complaint the matter should be investigated and not just brushed off because of their age.
