Alex Borissov
Moscow-born Alex is a man of many talents — economist, accountant — but
most strikingly, artist. Born in 1963, Alex gained an MA in Economics from
Moscow State University, followed by an MBA from Huron University in
London. Alex worked as risk manager at Banco Santander and as credit risk
underwriter at the Royal Bank of Scotland Commercial Services before moving
to the UK’s leading credit insurer Euler Hermes UK in 2001. In 2002 Alex
achieved accounting qualification with the Chartered Institute of Management
Accountants and in 2003 was elected Vice-President of CIMA West London
Branch. Financial Accountant at Euler Hermes UK, Alex takes part in complex
reconciliations with sister companies of Allianz Group.
In his spare time he paints. Member of the Fine Art Trade Guild, Alex
produced a series of stunning impressionist works which have been on
display in 2004 at Chelsea Art Fair and On-the-Wall Art Fair at Olympia.
Other exhibitions include Garden of Eden Art Gallery, Ealing Art Group, HQS
Wellington and Channel 4 ‘Vincent The Full Story — Window on the World’
virtual exhibition. Alex’s paintings and prints can be found in a number of
galleries in London and Geneva.
