ALE BEIJING SCHEDULE

Friday, July 30

7:30 PM Meet outside Bradley Terminal LAX. We need to gather as a group before wego through check-in, as soon as we are all there we will go and check-in. Please note:

International travel requires much more paperwork and checks than normal, At least 2 ½ hours are required to be safe. If by 8:30 you have not met us with us, we will proceed

to the gate. We will send you photos of Beijing.

10:30 PM airplane leaves for BJ

Sunday, August 1

11: 55 Arrival at BJ airport, China. After gathering our luggage and equipment we will

 proceed to the Hotel1:00 PM Check–in at hotel. We have all afternoon free. My suggestion is that we rest,

shower, change clothing and meet at 6 Pm in Hotel Lobby for Dinner. I have friends inBJ who will guide us to good restaurants. For those of you who prefer not to eat animals,

you can come with me to good vegetarian restaurant. You have the whole evening free.Make sure you pick up a card form the hotel with the name and address so you can show

to the cab drivers if needed.

Monday, August 27:00 AM Breakfast at hotel

8:30 Workshop: The Chinese Suona in Cuba, presented by Dr. Paul De Castro. place

TBA. I need the help of the percussionists for this and the moral support of the rest

of you!

12:00 Lunch: you are on your own but after we meet at the hotel to gather our stuff for 

the performance.

2:30 PM meet in hotel lobby to take our equipment to conference. Be already

dressed for performance.

4:00- 5:00 PM Sound check CNCC Function Hall A

5:45 PM CONCERT PERFORMANCE (this is a short 20 minute performance), we

share with other groups as far as I know)

8:00 return to Hotel. You have the rest of the night free.

Tuesday, August 3

7:00 AM Breakfast at Hotel8:00 AM We meet in Lobby to go to Conference

11:00 AM Rehearsal in CNCC 309 A+B

1:00 PM CONCERT PERFORMANCE (this is a short 20 minute performance), we

share with other groups as far as I know).

2:00 Return to hotel with equipment. You are on your own for lunch, shopping, etc etc

etc. We have nothing scheduled for the rest of the day. A good chance to go downtown

and meet people, shop, go to museums, etc.

Wednesday, August 4 (TIANJIN DAY)

7:00 AM Breakfast at Hotel

8:00 AM Depart for Tianjin, Travel and other details yet to be confirmed.

8:00 CONCERT PERFORMANCE (this is a full two-set performance). More details

soon

10:00 return to Beijing

Thursday, August 5, TOURISM DAY

7:00 AM Breakfast at Hotel

8:00 Depart for Great Wall, Forbidden City, Kung Fu Panda House, dinner withetc.MORE DETAILS SOON.

Friday, August 6

7:00 AM Breakfast at Hotel

8:00 Depart for airport. Time to say goodbye to our new friends. Please no crying!12:55 PM Leaving for USA

8:05 PM Arrival at LAX
