Rizaldy R. Duque, BIOGRAPHY Although he knew he was good in math and took up engineering in college, he had to shi to journalism when his family’s nances took a downturn. He was very candid in telling that he wasn’t very good in English but was mo vated to do be er when his wife, s ll a prospect back then, sent back his love le ers with correc ons. LEADERSHIP STYLE Open and accessible, Aldy manages by walking out of his oce to visit his sta. Genuine concern and trust for his stais part of his approach in mo va ng as a leader. Aldy started his career in community work employed as a project ocer in Ugnayan ng Pahinungod, a subsidiary of the University of the Philippines. He later on moved to do corporate work doing research and documenta on for an outsourcing company when he had a calling to join ministry. He eventually landed as Director of Holis c Mission Ministries Founda on, a church-based NGO, that he help establish. In 2005, he moved to KMBI as Research and Development Manager. During his s nt in R&D he recommended the implementa on of EISTOP (Enhanced Informa on System Towards Op mum Produc vity) and con nued the development of microinsurance products to enhance KMBI’s services to clients. He then was moved to the Transforma on Oce where he dra ed the Transforma on framework from which the organiza on works from. It was July 2006, with a change of leadership that Aldy was appointed to spearhead the newest department in KMBI, the Resource, Mobiliza on and Communica ons. His current focus is how to further the brand of KMBI and make it known to the donor market.He looks for innova ve ways of ge ng the vision of KMBI across by branding ini a ves, increasing marke ng collaterals and knocking on the doors of businesses to partner with KMBI in its ac vi es. KMBI was looking for ways to make most of its brand when Rizaldy Duque became part of its leadership team. With a penchant for pioneering work, se ng up systems and policies, the former R&D and transforma on manager took up the challenge of leading the voice of KMBI - the Resource, Mobiliza on and Communica ons Department. Finally, a er 23 years of silently working , KMBI is finally being heard and no ced by big businesses and the wider public.
