What is INSIGHT?
Insight is a 9 hour, early intervention program for youth who violate school policy, receive an alcohol or other drug related charge through court, or have any other negative experience with Alcohol/Drugs. The program serves adolescents in grades 7-12 and is designed to accomplish two objectives:
Education – Participants will learn about the physical, emotional, family, vocational, achievement, and legal consequences of Alcohol/Drug use.
Personal – Participants are guided through an examination of their own alcohol or drug use. Patterns of thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and pressures are explored so they may understand this process and learn to make better choices.
Schedule – Usually on Mondays right after school from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Held in the HS Conference meeting room.
