The IP team in Belgium is a very lean technical team which is part of the international IP R&D organization that has put Alcatel-Lucent on the worldwide IP map. We implement and deliver a family of internet routers with the highest quality.

Our IP R&D team…

Is part of an international development and test team spread over the world which develops, tests and supports product features for the whole IP Department product range. In addition to development and testing, we have the worldwide responsibility for the 4th level customer support team, assisting the 2nd and 3rd level customer support organization outside Belgium: solving the most complex and difficult network problems.

Next to the R&D team

The IP Pre-sales team convinces telecom operators to select Alcatel-Lucent for delivering applications and services to their end-users by demonstrating the capabilities of our IP products. The team defines and specifies detailed network design solutions for the telecom operators, helping them to build their IP networks.

As an R&D engineer...

You will have the opportunity and challenge to design and further develop one of the most successful products in the IP router market of today: the 7750-ESR internet router family for providers and carriers (and further evolutions). The latest addition to the family is the 7950 XRS, the densest Core Router able to support the highest traffic demands as projected by leading operators. Currently 20% of world’s internet traffic is going through these routers. ASIC/FPGA DESIGN AND VALIDATION ENGINEER - 14000006ZWThe Fixed Networks Division is one of the key divisions in Alcatel-Lucent focusing on making Ultra Broadband Access possible for all users in the world. The fixed access product portfolio consists out of Fiber and Copper Access technology. In both domains the ASIC and FPGA System On Chips (SoC’s) are the heart of the system, making it possible for Alcatel-Lucent to have differentiating products at the right cost points.
