Rate CardAlbertaBMX is Albertas one stop monthly magazine for BMX enthu-siasts, targeting riders throughout Alberta who ride recreational and competively.
Th e magazine uses the take one, leave one behind method of con-trolled circulation. It can be found in local bike shops throughout Al-berta as well as athletic wear stores, places which riders frequently vis-it. You will fi nd the magazine on racks in high traffi c areas, and at the front of these locations.
AlbertaBMX also uses the Newspaper method. Our magazine uses newspaper insertion as part of our circulation program. Reaching a highly desirable demographic audience, in large numbers using local newspapers throughout Alberta such as the Calgary Herald.

First Year: “With the help of grants we have secured $15,000 start-up cost.
In the fi rst year of operation, with circulation starting at 5000 we expect to turn a modest profi t of $25,092 based on revenue of $210,545 and expenses of $185,453.
Th e majority of our income comes from August ($23,040) and the biggest expense is August ($19,959).”
Year 2: “With a projected growth of 5% per month (10% per issue for bi-monthly and 20% per issue for quarterly) year 2 looks better.
With circulation growing to 8,979 we expect to turn a profi t of $80,023 based on revenue of $346,701 and expenses of $306,770
We project to be able to charge a full-page rate of $1062.50 because of our increased circulation.
Th e majority of our income comes from August ($37,670) and the biggest expense is August ($32,995).”
It is our belief that with circulation steadily growing we will be able to sustain demand for the magazine and keep readers and advertisers engaged into the future.
