Alberta Ecotrust is a unique partnership between the corporate sector and the environmental community. Our vision is healthy ecosystems for all Albertans. Our mission is to partner across boundaries to mobilize and inspire those who champion and protect the environment. Three pillars of community building focus our programs and projects, and how we work with our Supporters: community investment, community collaboration, and community action. Together with our Visionary Partners, we invest in nonprofit environmental projects, strengthen the ability of the voluntary sector to affect positive environmental change, and promote the environment as the foundation of a healthy community. In 2018, with the incredible and generous support from our Supporters, and our continued collaboration with the City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Community Foundation, Alberta Ecotrust made our largest grant disbursement yet. Alberta Ecotrust invested over $730,000 to 37 meaningful and innovative environmental nonprofit projects and programs that create positive measurable change through leadership, education, action, and public policy. There is no end point in the pursuit of a healthy environment. If we are to make progress on environmental solutions, we need to work together. No one can do it alone.
