    Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, in the Kingdom of Wrttemberg in the German Empire on 14 March

    1879.[7] His father was Hermann Einstein, a salesman and engineer. His mother was Pauline Einstein (neKoch)

    Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany in 1879. When he was two the Einsteins moved to

    Munich, Germany. He was different from the start. His mother noticed that his head was shapeddifferently. Even though the doctor said he was fine it took his mother, Pauline, weeks to getused to it. Even so, no one suspected shy Albert would change the world. The Einsteins weremiddle-class Jews. At five he received his first compass and it inspired the rest of his work inscience and math.Einstein was a very thoughtful child. He was a slow talker at first, always pausing to think aboutwhat he was going to say. His sister remembers his concentration and perseverance when he builtmany-storied card houses. He was frightened by soldiers, unlike the other young boys his age.His mother was a talented pianist and they wanted him to become one too.In 1886 he started school in Munich. The school was a catholic school. He did not mind thedifferent religion but he hated everything else. He did not like having to memorize and the strict

    discipline the school had. He always asked difficult questions, which made the teachers think hewas trying to get in trouble.

    His mother made him take violin for 7 years. At first he hated the lessons but he ended upenjoying the violin for the rest of his life. In 1894 his family moved to Italy but he stayed at hisschool, Luitpold.By the time he was 16 he was obsessed with physics, iron, and magnets. He was a slow learnerand often considered dull-witted. He didnt have any friends because he was quiet and didntplay any sports. He got average grades. His real studies were done at home on math, physics, andphilosophy. A teacher suggested that he leave school and when he was 15 he did, and moved toPavia, Italy to join his family.

    When he was 17 he took a test to enter the Polytechnic Institute in Switzerland. He was excellentin math and science but failed other portions of the test. He went back to high school for a yearand the next time passed the test to get into the university. He stayed away from lectures so hedid not impress his teachers. He studied very hard even though he didn't always attend class. Hegraduated in 1900, and asked to be an assistant in the physics department but was refused.Life and Education

    When he was ten years old his parents sent him to Mulhouse to live with his aunt and uncle to attend apreparatory school. It was there he met a dedicated teacher who inspired him to start studying. From that

    point on, he had an insatiable * appetite to learn. He decided he would become a minister and follow in

    the footsteps of his father and grandfather.

    Her father, who was involved in Albanian politics, diedin 1919 when she was eight years old.[11] After her father's death, her mother raised her as aRoman Catholic. Her father, Nikoll Bojaxhiu (his name means 'painter') was of KosovarAlbanian origin possibly stemming from Prizren, Kosovo while her mother's origin was possiblyfrom a village near akovica, Kosovo.[12]According to a biography by Joan Graff Clucas, in her early years Agnes was fascinated bystories of the lives of missionaries and their service in Bengal, and by age 12 was convinced thatshe should commit herself to a religious life.[13] Her final resolution was taken on August 15,1928, while praying at the shrine of the Black Madonna of Letnice, where she often went onpilgrimage.[14]She left home at age 18 to join the Sisters of Loreto as a missionary. She never again saw her

    mother or sister.

    Mother Teresa of Calcutta was a Roman Catholic nun and founder of the Missionaries ofCharity. In 1979 she was awarded the most prestigious prize in the world, the Nobel Peace Prize,for her humanitarian work. Her labor made her so worthy that, in reality, she gave honor to theprize, rather than the other way around!
