Reading * Read and understand the overall meaning of short, simple texts on familiar topics. Listening *Listen and identify familiar words and set phrases in short, simple texts on familiar topics. Speaking *Use basic language structures when speaking. * Ask and answer questions on familiar topics. Homework Guidelines When we send homework, we assign it to your child 1 or 2 times a week. The homework will be things that we have already studied in class and will often be differentiated based on your child’s ability. If your child asks you for help, please provide guidance, not answers . If someone tells him/her the answers it will provide inaccurate information to us, and we will not know if your child needs more help understanding the curriculum. Notes: If the homework is assigned in the English book, please ensure that the book comes back to school the next day as it is part of every lesson ever day.
