• Alaska Department of Education & Early Development responsibilities:– Support public education system for students, grades PK‐12
• Summary of Alaska’s Secondary Schools:– 294 schools serve grades 9‐12– of those, 213 schools are K‐12– 44 are comprehensive high schools– 3 are magnet CTE high schools– 1 is a state‐run boarding high school– High school enrollment ranges from under 10 to over 2,000
